Curious why you say that. I have yet to hear about a pro suspension failure even though many have been running since 2015. And obviously, many of them are logging mileage way past 100k.

I get my AWD Panamera turbo sideways on ramps all the time. The rear tires are about 12 inches wide so I just have to trick it a little. Just gave a lesson to 5 sports bikers on the highway last weekend.

    Ouch! That sucks lol. 10-4

Yea, I know on AWD - but the out of control feeling a RWD gives I’ve never been able to achieve in AWD!
I even turned off the TC on a Audi R8 Spyder with the V10 Lamborghini engine - which is about as supercar as supercar gets lol. Still prefer RWD.
Don’t get me wrong, I creamed in my shorts driving the R8 :)
I was doing 135mph down the on-ramp for the freeway (1/4 mile).

Just being a smart ass, I love the Pro's. I think there was one guy on here who had suspension leak on a Pro but he wheeled hard and went to a much more expensive system.

My Ex-Father in law who is still a good friend walked out of the dealership 6 months ago with his brand new preordered Raptor, not sure what he all ordered but out the door it was 73K. It's nice but he is having issues with the transmission it's been back in twice already. I drove it and it's nice but I still like my Tundra better it just fit's me better, all personal preference I suppose. I like the older Raptors with the 6.2 better as well and I like the looks of headlights on the older ones vs the new.

Longer list than the wife needs to know about....
my neighbors 17 Raptor and my 16 Tundra.
his definitely has more power and features. but for the extra 25k I can* put a whole bunch of mods in and make the tundra every bit as nice as the raptor. only things I couldn't add are the panoramic roof and 360* birds eye camera, and fuel economy.
The Raptor is sure nice just not worth the extra money in my mind.

If they kept the V8 one, there probably would have been a chance I would have bought a used (like 1-2 years) old one by now.

I went from a 750li to my tundra. I needed something easy to fit 3 kids in the back seat. 7 series had a weird hump that wouldn't cut it. I kick myself daily for not buying a raptor instead. I had never owned a truck, never thought I'd want a truck. The tundra was a total on the fly purchase, but i knew it had great resale and would be a great entry into the truck world. Now, i'll never NOT own a truck, and will probably be in a raptor sooner than later.

Raptor is mean looking. Last time I checked, almost all flares are plastic, Front Grille looks intimidating, Overpiced (agree to some extent), ain't nothing wrong w being a Ford. TRDPro should be a Raptor beater which it isn't.

Still a 1/2 ton, if we update our TT to a 5thW, I'd salivate over this:

My buddy has a 2015, no issues (I realize Raptor is an off-roader, not towing machine)

How can you expect this? It is made by a company known for having higher quality standards and it cost 2/3 the price.

    That just isn’t possible.

Unless you mean they should have built it with that purpose...

They could have done a LT SC TRD Pro and it would be a raptor killer but it would likely have an $80-85k sticker...

Add a sc for $6600 and a can-am maverick $15,000 and your faster and still under cost of raptor.

there's a lot more to it ehn just that. Frankly, i think the ford features and interior are night and day above the tundra. Tundra is way behind in terms of that. Needs a major overhaul.

The Raptor is nice and at times I regret buying one. At the time, the cost of the used 6.2 was more than I wanted to pay. More comfortable interior, better mpg's of same size tires, better stereo, rear locker and better suspension. When it's time to replace the Tundra, I'll probably go for a truck that already has everything I want from the factory.

Never been that impressed with the raptor - especially when you consider the price. A friend of mine also has a 2010. We were at our annual get-together with a bunch of friends, and we all went out to dinner and I got to ride in the Raptor. I didn't like much about it on the inside. I guess that it rode fine. But it felt cheap to me. We were following my brother-in-law, who has a 2008 Ram 3500 with the 6.7 deleted and tuned. The Raptor owner started talking smack to my brother-in-law over the CB, saying that his Cummins wouldn't stand a chance against the Raptor. A few seconds later we could barely see the taillights of the Ram. Raptor didn't stand a chance. Now, the Raptor would eat the Ram's lunch offroad, but I found it almost comical how my buddy was just standing on the gas and it was like nothing was happening.

New Raptors sound like rice burners. I would bet on my truck vs a Raptor anyday, on and off road. Not too mention it was built and not bought! and for less too :D

Yea, we all have different uses and reasonings. I had trucks in the past for hauling toys - then had kids and changed directions. Recently we just built on 13.5 acres and it’s mandatory I have a truck (starting a 30x40 shop this weekend). The Tundra is my farm truck LOL. I can’t see myself farm-trucking a $80K Raptor, but I CAN buy a lightly used Tundra, throw some King’s on it, supercharge it, and have a lot more fun than in a raptor for half the cost and not feel so bad beating the piss out of it.
And it will be reliable - which is an added bonus :)
The Supercharged 5.7 is fucking amazing (I haven’t SC’d mine yet - and I don’t pay for gas thank God)

All the fancy interior shit in the Raptor I could care less about. My Tundra is used for truck shit, not like all the other Raptors washed and waxed living in condos on the river. I’ll buy a luxury car for the bells and whistles. I’d feel bad fucking up Merino leather and filling Bang and Olufsen speakers with dirt. LOL

If I’m ever looking for off-road fun, I live near the TSF Forest with shit-tons of rocks/crawling trails. The 4runner will be used and is built for that. It’s supercharged/geared, has more travel, faster than a Raptor, and can crawl/trail better :)
    Different strokes for different folks.
