This Tundra has done a little bit of everything in its life with me: it’s been a daily driver, a farm truck (only for a hot second, thank God!), my weekend long distance rig, and now it’s the weekend driver and my hunting rig. About freakin time Zach!!!!!!!!! You and I are pretty much on the same page. (money tree wise) I need your opinion on ALCAN springs. I want DAKARs, but ALCAN is in Grand Junction. More pricey , but Colorado made. I'm actually thinking about making the trip there to have the ALCAN folks do an up close and personal look for the best way to go. I realize you are literally at the other end of the state and maybe the best bet is to call them: http://www.alcanspring.com/

Maybe we ("Bob") can get them on board for a Tundras.com discount. I'm all for helping out small local companys that have limited budgets, let alone for advertizing. Anybody have ALCAN springs???? I'm going to give them call tomorrow to see what's up. Grand Junction is a pretty cool town on the Colorado River. Not far from Moab!!!

I haven't been able to glean much on Alcan. I'd love a reason to go up to GJ though, the only towns I've been to on the Western Slope is Walden and Delta. Absolutely beautiful country up there.

ALCAN has a link to ToyTec. Wonder why ToyTec doesn't have a link to ALCAN. Nothing about ALCAN on ToyTec's site. I'm kind of curious about that.

Your mods list would keep me busy & broke for quite a while! I have the Cabelas tackleback in my truck also, great way to carry several long guns, without using up valuable floor or seat space!

Oh they'll keep me broke for awhile too ha. I'd like to upgrade to a pair of Condition Zero Rackbone mounts, but they run around $190-275/each.

    image.jpg
    $190

    image.jpg
    $275

This one is entirely different, and idk if it'd work with as well with the full center consoles that Tundras generally have. Might be worth a try though, these only run $35

After a weekend of drinking and thus not getting anything done on the Tundra, figured I'd clean the interior out a bit. Snapped this pic after getting a laugh at how small my GMC work truck looks compared to my baby.

By the way, I just re-read your build thread. Time to start shortening that mod list.............. I may have to check out that Cabelas Hunters Tackleback. Very much a need to have.

    They're a decent addition, especially for $14.

It may be till the end of the month before I add something, likely hood and window deflectors, steering wheel cover, center console organizer, and DIY backup lights. My two month layoff did some damage to the bank acct :(

Just ordered AVS tape on window deflectors and the hood bug deflector from AutoAnything. Hopefully they'll be here by next weekend so I can install them!

Bad news: the water pump on my Tundra is leaking, so sometime this month I'm gonna have to part with what would be a good chunk of change for mods to replace it :annoyed:

Got the hood and window deflectors on today, and wrapped the back row oh shit handles. Me and my dad wound up losing one of the plastic push in dealios while putting on the hood deflector, thankfully my Grandpa had some of the same ones in his garage! After that got done I finally cleaned my WeatherTechs and the rest of the truck, the mats are fairly discolored after only 17,000 something miles so I'll be buying Husky's here in the next few months. Also bought some plasti dip to do the grill decal in black, if it's dry tomorrow after work I'll probably do it then.

Thinking I'm going to order the center console organizer and stubby antenna either tonight or tomorrow :) will go get a SW cover tomorrow.

Nice box Zach. Still leaves you some room to slide/fit stuff under it. Not compromising bed length.

That was the goal, unfortunately if I haul my four wheeler I can't close the tailgate but that's pretty rare that I have it in my personal truck. I'd like to leave enough room where I could fit one of the bed tents in there in the future.

Not yet, the dealership said they found a few drops from it but I haven't seen any evidence that it's leaking. The way my service advisor phrased it was that "it may go out tomorrow or it may be a year from now, just keep an eye on it and we'll replace it once it's really leaking." I haven't seen any less liquid in the tank or high temps so it seems ok.
