Sure looks like they did that test on I-76 by Hudson, CO. Would love to put a S/C on my Tundra :)

Interesting video and comparison, I'm glad the Tundra came out on top. I test drove the 6.2 Raptor while truck shopping and I was not impressed. The only thing I liked were the seats which were very comfortable with sport inspiration, the side bolster made a perfect fit for me. What drove me away was the size of the cabin. Also, I wasn't a fan of the dash lay out as it looked cheaper than the Tundra and the loud turn signal notification, I don't think I've ever heard one so loud. I gotta say about the Tundra, I do love the size of the cabin as do my passengers.

The Raptor is a very very decent play toy. Not much else. Nothing wrong with that but just MHO.

Put a Whipple S/C on the Raptor and do that test again....

Exactly. Pretty stupid test if you ask me. Two totally different purpose built trucks.

Hell, while they are at it, FLT should have went through a rhythm section as well to compare the two suspension.

Personally, I don't give a shit what anyone says. I have two close buddies with Raptors. Kick ass trucks that sure in the hell do not get mid-seventeens fuel economy. Hell, one just got back from 2k mile round trip from CA and did 14 mpg average round trip.

I agree. It really isn't fair to have a supercharged truck up against a non supercharged truck.
For straight factory product the Raptor 6.2 is a very nice truck.
With out a doubt you can make a cheaper Tundra 5.7L SR5 much better than the Raptor for the same amount of money.
The Tundra TRD Pro was a good factory attempt but still needs a bit more to out perform the Raptor. Is the Tundra Pro a better truck, absolutely.

Whipple makes some bad ass superchargers. Wish they'd make one for the Tundra. Not exactly a fair test.

If I had to do it all over again, I would still consider a Raptor. They just have this sexy aggressive look to them.

Regardless, I still love my Tundra too, but it would be a close call...I think the Raptor has a tad too much of an asking price though.

They do have a nice look to them and every time I see one, I think of a "cool" factor. It's close to the same feeling when I see a Z06 or GTR.

I know a local who's running around with the Roush Stage 1 kit on his Raptor. That would've been a fair comparison. Only a 25hp difference rather than nearly a 90-ish one.

How about a LT SC raptor :)

I am a huge raptor fan. I'll be waiting for the 2017's

Is the raptor just considered mid travel now?

What i really want to compare is the amount of travel between stock F150, stock Tundra, TRD Pro and Raptor. And what you can get for travel with simple upgrades like UCAs and extended shocks.

Idk but I know they are a great platform to start a build on. And comfortable. Swap the control arms and put 3.0's with secondaries and it will fly.

Raptors have about 12" stock travel

Ditto on current Raptor 12" travel. Can't see how Ford would make it less.
