Does anyone else have a bakflip Mx4? Is the cover suppose to sit a bit higher? Mine is not as plush on my tundra.

I had the same one on my ‘14. Going off that pic, it looks like the seal over your tailgate isn’t flush with the top and that will allow rain in your bed for sure.

Do you think if I slide it back a bit that would fix the problem?

Can you post another pic? One of the tailgate cap and one of the side of the cover where it meets the bedside

Mine sits the same... the destructions say that the end of the bedrails should be 1/4” from the inside of the tailgate when closed.

Mine sits the same way. I could not get it to sit completely flush, seems like the bed rails don’t allow it.

maybe sits like that so you can open and shut the tailgate without opening the tonneau cover.

I think it’s the 3rd gen that has a shorter tailgate. It works tho keeps everything dry.

the under side of the cover has a good sized piece of rubber to fill the gap, I agree- i havent had any problems with leaking.

I have the factory bed rails with sliding cargo hold downs and just curious if these stay inside the rails and free of the cover? Also want to install pop and lock to keep the honest people in my neighborhood honest. Curious if anyone had any problems or issues

My bed rail system was lowered down a few inches when they installed the cover. Still have the tie downs under the cover. With this cover, if you lock your tailgate, the bed can't be accessed until you unlock it, lower the gate and lift the back panel of the cover. It's like a man sized trunk. ;)

I read a TON of reviews on the poplock. Some people had issues with it binding up on them, but they just coated the crap out of it with dialectic grease and it was good to go. Out side of that, on my 2017 the colors in the passenger side kick panel to tap into the lock controls are reversed from the diagram supplied with the kit (instead of red to green and black to white it was red to white and black to green - those arent the actual colors, just random colors to illustrate my example).

I dont ride around with much in there... really i just dont want my tailgate stolen. But I like to toss stuff back there. I also like to run the engine while I get the kids in the car and load the truck... but I forget to unlock the tail gate... a small inconvenience, but I found it infuriating. Now I smile every time I'm loading the truck since it's already unlocked for me, but secure when i lock the rest of the truck doors with the remote :)

Edit: No bed rails here, but what the previous poster said I've seen before: Rails had to be lowered or removed to accommodate the mounting hardware for the MX4 cover.

When you buy the cover they give you the option to choose if you have bed rail system or not, if you have the bed rail system it comes with brackets and hardware to lower the rails about a couple of inches.
