Obviously the STT Pro is a little more aggressive, but how bad does it hurt MPG. I like the look of both, just worried the Cooper is a little too aggressive for my pavement princess. Thoughts?

I don't think you are comparing to the Nitto Trail Grappler. I wouldn't say any of the other regular MT tires are "obviously more aggressive" than it by any stretch. Are you looking at the Terra Grapplers or Ridge Grapplers by Nitto?

Any of your MT tires in that line are going to drop mpg a little bit due to the tire type and weight. They look bad ass though, but I might lean towards the AT's or Hybrids if you are worried about them being too much on the road. I was in the same boat, wanted the MT look but knew I didn't need them. I ended up going with the Ridge Grapplers and love them.

I can't comment on the Nitto because I've never run them. But I can say that I run 37" STT Pro, my truck weighs 8k lbs, and I have stock gears. If I do a GPS corrected 70 mph I can get 12 mpg (hand calculated).

My truck is heavily modified but my point is that I get pretty decent mpg with these tires. Also, they aren't very loud, slight hum, barely noticeable. At freeway speeds I can't hear them at all.
