I'm not sure where to ask but is $39,999 (after the $2000 off for factory rebate) for a 2018 Toyota Tundra Crew Max TRD Sport a good deal? It's located in Eastern PA. Thanks in advance.

    Edit: BOUGHT IT!!

$5-7k below MSRP (not including tax, title, tags) appears to be the norm on the foum these days. I got closer to 7k below on my 18 limited crewmax.

No joke, is this your camera?

But seriously, as far as the deal goes that seems like a standard deal, not so much a good deal.

That is a very good deal in my opinion. But look for a white one! More horsepower and a higher reliability rating with increased towing capacity!

Thanks for the feedback, I too thought $40k for a CrewMax TRD Sport was a good deal but from the other responses isn't that great

I do think a lot of the pricing depends on what part of the country you live in. Sticker on my CM S45 was 44 and I got it for 41. I did have dealer throw in a few things like a tri fold tonneau cover and bed extender. And I feel like I got a great deal! Toyota dealerships do not come off of their sticker price much (at least that’s what I have witnessed). Not like the big three do offering 15 grand off an already overpriced vehicle.

I'd say under 40k out the door is a good deal. At least in my area it is. See if they'll throw in some freebies, like a clear bra, bed cover or liner, steps, xm subscription, or extended warranty at a lower cost. Not sure what the options are cuz the pic is blurry.

Depends on what part of the country, and what options they put on it...tow package, etc, etc. Have to compare apples to apples.

Go for 15% off MSRP and pay no more than 12% off. $2k on a $42k vehicle sucks

Out the door is different for everybody, and not a fair comparison since it includes sales tax and licensing and those vary for all of us based on our locality. I'd just make sure they don't hit you with dealer fees or if they do that you've calculated those in and are comfortable with the deal you're getting.

Under $40k for a sport sounds good to me. I don’t see as many around here yet so the dealers are asking for more. On the bright side, you’ll save money with the chrome delete!

Yeah between the color matched bumpers, grill, and the TRD sway bars, is what really sold me on the sport.

I still think it’s a good deal. Just my 2 cents. I got a great deal on my limited but most lots around here (San Diego) are filled with them so they want to get rid of them. There was only 1 sport on the lot when I went to buy my truck. I agree with everyone else though that it never hurts to make them throw in a couple extras. Their mark up on accessories are a lot more than the truck so they are usually more agreeable to offer them up.
You can play hard ball with them but you better be prepared to walk away without the truck if they don’t budge. Depending on where you’re at, you could always get a few dealers involved to see who will offer the best price. Good luck, you’re getting a great truck either way!

I have it down to two dealers, both have the exact same truck and packages except one has a bed liner (dealer 1 is $39,999 and dealer 2 is $40,484)

U will save some money by getting the one with the spray in liner. However nobody really knows how well they hold up. You at least get a lifetime warranty from line x in the aftermarket world

Seems like a pretty solid deal. Of course, the 2019s (same damn truck) are coming out any time and you just might decide to wait... ;)

What type of liner? spray in? Line X? You can get a line x for about the same price as the difference between the two trucks and get the lifetime warranty. I’d rather pay cash for the liner than finance it with the truck for 5-6years (assuming your financing).
I didn’t read all the posts but I’m assuming this price is pre TTL. If they are that close, get a final OTD price to see which is better. If they are pretty much the same then flip a coin or go with your “preferred” dealer. I drove a little out of the way for mine because the customer service and service departments are much better than the closest dealer.
Also, it sounds like you’ve already got both dealers down to their “bottom” line. Unless you think they are going to come down a few more grand, at some point it’s just not worth your time. Pick the truck you want, sign the papers, drink a beer, enjoy the truck.

With that information, when would be the best time to head into a dealer to get the best well...deal? I'm hoping to grab a 2018 White Platinum, two months ago I was told $53,500 out the door... that's with a 5k trade in. :( I found out a friend works at a local dealership and said I could probably get the Friends & Family Discount, can't find solid information on that pricing though, heard something about invoice pricing?
