This Guy makes some cool stuff for sure. I had his radio knobs in my Taco. In GA they just passed a hands-free law so I took the chance to spend some money on Hondo’s Ram ball based Unholey Mount, which mounts in the vent ring in the dash.

Check it out if you get a chance.

I've used their mounts on both of my Tacomas and just ordered today for my Tundra.

Looks good. Looks like the unholey Mount fits a little better on the Taco vent. Maybe I need to mess around with the fitment some more. Did you have much vent movement?

Once I got it installed, the vent was basically locked in that open position. I could maybe close it about 10%. There's a post on TacomaWorld where someone details how to trim the vent slats from the back side in order to get them to close more. Overall worth it to have the phone elevated and held firm.

That sounds about right for me as well. I do have some movement, so maybe that’s all to be expected. It is nice having it up high and able to see.

I’ll chk iut the tacomaworld thread. As I was looking closely while installing, I thought it might be easy to trim some and gain more vent function.

Perfect. Thanks. I don’t think the Tundra vent is as easy to get to... I need to figure that part out.

I’ll post up some pics of mine installed.

By the way, the discount code still works... 5rolledtacos.
