Is there any way to shut off bluetooth in a 2015 1794? When I try to turn it off in the menu, it is a faded option and doesn't allow me to turn it off.

TRD rear sway bar, console organizer, stubby antenna, LEDs for cabin, cargo, license plate, and reverse lights, power-fold mirrors, Westin nerf bars, full stereo upgrade. Future - color-match grill surround/bulge, mirror caps, handles, plasti-dip badges.
You should be able to turn it off when you're not moving. Touch the phone icon and go into settings, and you should be able to uncheck the bluetooth box. It's grayed out when the tuck is in motion.

The bluetooth on my phone is always off and am trying to turn it off on the radio. Or was that somehow a poor try of a joke? lol Bluetooth can be controlled individually on every device, just not on this radio apparently.

Last time I tried to tun it off I only had the key on ACC, so it still didn't allow me to turn it off.

For my truck, its under phone settings. There is a phone icon and audio icon. You can choose all off, 1 on, or all on. Messages, email and audio. Try unpairing the phone.

Since my phone was never paired, the settings aren't available under phone settings. Obviously, I am trying all this while parked. It would be mindless and dangerous to go through menus and drive. Any other inputs?

Got it figured out. Apparently you have to first connect a phone to turn off bluetooth. Kinda silly but oh well. Maybe it will help someone else in the future.

This is very odd. The option to turn off bluetooth is completely disabled until you pair a phone. Then you can "click" it. Then it goes disabled again, but stays checked like it's enabled. I'm not sure this really turns it off, but it's something.

    Thanks.

If you don't have a phone paired to your truck and Bluetooth is turned off on your phone, what's the advantage of turning off Bluetooth on the truck?

The advantage is not being blasted by BT all the time by the truck.
