Most old school hip hop will usually do the trick, regardless of song. Crazy Train by Ozzy sounds really good in my truck. Thunderstruck, by AC/DC is good as well. Eminem, Lady Gaga, and Imagine Dragons all have various songs. Boom Boom Pow by Black Eyed Peas hits as well.

I don’t particularly love the song, but “Clumsy” by Fergie sounds great also.

I appreciate you pointing out a specific record label. There is a lot of good music that I love, yet they didn’t do a great job in production, and failed to do it justice in audio quality. Guns n Roses is the biggest example that comes to mind. Sweet Child of Mine should be on this list, as it’s one of the best arrangements I know of. Unfortunately, it doesn’t shine like it should on a good system.
I don’t know if it’s the band’s fault, or the label’s. Some bands just did an exceptional job in the actual production of their music. It’s especially noticeable with older music. Eagles, Steely Dan, and Alabama sound great, but a lot of legendary bands don’t.

”This is how my drummer drums” by DJ Icey. It’s a little slow going in the beginning, but will work your mids, subs some, then at the 3:17 mark, highs start their workout.(really sounds completely different on iPad vs truck system

Do the bus a bus. Busts rhymes extinction level event. That extremely low bass note...bad ass. When I had a huge system that would almost make you motion sick.

    Boys n the hood.

Lil john- put ya hood up,
    What you going to do

I love spanish music to try out my mids and highs. Downfall is most spanish music doesnt have tons of bass so i always add an epecineter to my systems to get the lows to kik.

If you want Spanish with bass listen to "Criminal" and "Balenziaga". I recently got hooked on Reggaeton and can't stop listening even though I understand maybe 20% of the lyrics. If you like those, listen to reggaeton on Pandora to find more.

Reggaeton is garbage now in days (sorry not trying to offend any1 or start a debate just my .02) when it first started it was alright. But spanish i refer to is banda corridos. Stuff sounds so crispy and clear with the right setup. I really wanna check out ur system tho. Never heard of the speakers u went with.

Listened to a bit of both. Great music for the mid/highs and sounded great in my truck but it's not the type of music i'd play to showcase the subs.

Yes mids and high sound great if ur amps are adjusted right. For that kind of music u defintly need an epicenter and u will display the bass aswell.

    Hip-hop, dead prez

I haven’t had a custom system in some time, and that style of rap is a bit out of my genre now, but I’d still use the tracks to feel the bass :)

    Agree with RATM!
