    Yep, not kidding.
    I haven’t had a bitch’n V8 with over 350 hp since I sold my ‘65 327 cu.in. El Camino.
They both had /have that push-you-into the seat G-force thing during acceleration.
    Damn it feels good again.
    Now for some dual exhaust!

Talk to Keith @dirtydeeds about your exhaust....He's the guy to go to...he'll take the time to explain everything to you, and he builds a kick-ass system!

Awesome another Sunset Bronze! Nice truck, I have the same color and love mine. Like you said I also love the power. Hitting the tow/haul mode (when not towing/hauling) and hammering it onto a highway or something is just too much fun. :) The mileage penalty almost makes me want to stop doing it. Almost.

Yeah I know what you’re saying.
I just want a step up in rumble, than stock.
Just a slight throaty tone if you know what I mean.

Look up beast mode... turn off traction control for even better throttle response :headbang:

    Not nearly enough room here!
I can tell ya' what Keith at BA Exhaust might say to that. You're a good candidate for one of his 10" systems. Call him before you 'settle' for an "off the shelf" system that just happens to fit your truck but with a pipe-size that robs you of low-end grunt and a muffler that rattles your teeth with drone!

I also prefer a stealthy quiet exhaust system on my vehicles... I would consider a performance exhaust that sounded stock - is that even possible?

Would a cold air intake do the trick? I put one on my old truck (gmc) and it would wake up and yell only when i punched it! :)

I'm not a fan of cold air intakes on NA engines, but I did remove the carbon filter from inside the lid of the factory air box. It enhanced engine noise, and may have helped with throttle response.

Is the TRD exhaust really that loud? I had read from other people that it wasn't that bad, but when you get on it, it makes a nice roar. I really want to get one. But reading what you've written here gives me pause.

Do you mean an annoying droning exhaust note during highway cruising speed?
Don’t want any droning, nice mellow rumbling yes.

Yes, but it's only information I have read - I have no first hand experience with the TRD system.

@dirtydeeds claims 0 drone, quiet as stock on highway and louder than trd when you get into the throttle.

I am sure there are people on here that have his system that can back it up.

I just looked into his systems for the first time last night and decided that is definitely the way to go if you have the coin.

    Welcome aboard OP!

I've said this before, but it's worth saying again, after watching a few videos on the newer Mustang GT, I put one on my bucket list, however since buying our 2007 Tundra DC with the 5.7 engine I'm pretty sure I can cancel out the need for that Mustang, even with the factory exhaust they sound rather wild putting the pedal to the metal, what amazes me even more is that the truck has 245,000 miles on the clock and still runs as good as it does. Every time I sit behind the wheel I get a big smile on my face knowing that I made the right choice in getting this truck.

Exactly how I felt every day firing up my Tundra. Funny, but at the time I had a ‘12 Corvette and ‘02 TransAm drag car, but I always found the Tundra to be more of an overall more enjoyable drive....on the street.
