35x12.5x20 with 4inch lift

Hey Guys . I’m planning to buy 4 inch lift kit for my truck “Tuff country “ and then I would like to buy Moto metal35x12.5x20 -44offsett. Will it fit? Thanks. How about-24 offset? Does it make a difference?

 

I bet you’ll have to cut the living hell out of the wheel wells on 4” and 35’s. Hopefully one of the guys familiar with big lifts will chime in here.

That's a wicked offset. Is this the look you're going for? Cause that offset is how you get this look.



Not my particular style, but different strokes and all. I also just dont like all road rash that comes with tires well outside the fenders. Anyway I'm running 4" lift total, but I dont have an exact measurement so I can't be exact. It's a TRD Pro suspension lift with a ReadyLIFT + 2" so that I could clear 35×12.50s around 18" Method race wheels, Vex 311s (hub-centric, make sure your wheels are too) that have +18 offset. It does not rub at full lock. No body mount chop. Mud flaps had to be deleted.

 

That’s the tire size I have with a 3” lift. No idea what my offset is, but nothing like that.

 

I don’t really like that dodge a specially in rainy Seattle. I may try 0 offset

 

Oh you know what. I also deleted the front bumper and put on the Camburg Trail Edition Tundra Front Bump for my winch setup. It's a high clearence bumper, I can drive straight at rocks. So my info is probably not helpful.

 

Should I buy positive offset?

 

Buy one of these and do a body mount chop. Then you can get exactly what you want. Hell if you know how to weld (or someone who does) you can make it look real nice.

Just FYI - the stock wheels for 18's are +60mm offset, the stock 20's might be a +50mm offset. The lower you go, the further out the wheel is going to sit. Not sure what look you are going for, but a +25mm offset will barely poke the tires/wheels out of the fenders. This is mine with a +25mm.

 

I think I have the lift you are talking about (4” Tuff Country) and I have 33x12.5x20. I know you are asking about 35’s....just showing you the look with 33’s. Hope it helps

Nope, that works. When I replace my spacer down the road, I like the kits with the new UCA's, but all are 4". I don't know if I'll go that route or if I'll go with the lifted struts instead. I always thought the 33's might look funny with that size lift, but I like that.

 

Is it negative offset for yours 33 tires? Good looking truck .

I’ve never checked. They came on my first Tundra (07 DC pre-loved), and I have just taken them off before each trade in. It’s in my future to buy new 18” wheels and try and stuff 35’s in there-just waiting to get some miles on my truck before I possibly have to cut/trim anything

Or this one, but this truck has 6 or 8 inch lift

 

I’m curious about th 4” lift. How did it change the ride? Everyone in here seems to hate spacer lifts. Would like to hear first hand from someone who owns it.

I also read on here 4” or more really requires bracket lifts. But then I see these sort of lifts from ready lift and tiff country with upper control arms.

Is the angles cv/ball joint etc ok with this 4”? Any problems?

I’m sure there will be someone that has a negative opinion on this type of lift, but for MY application it works well. Let me start by saying my ‘16 CM I put a 3”/1” Low Range Off-road level kit on it. Terrible decision. I hated the angle it put on the cv/ball joints, and had constant issues with alignment. Terrible ride.

Currently have the 4” lift from Tuff Country which includes UCA’s and rear shocks. Drives much better, and seemed to clear up any issues I had trying different “lifting” options. Again, I’m not tearing it up off road in my truck, so I’m very happy with it for what I use my truck for. Very slight shake at highway speeds is the only thing, but I do have MT tires on it-so that’s to be expected.

 

Thanks for that feedback. I also do mostly highway and off-road could be a gravel road less than 1% of the time at best. And not going to go out and jump any railroad tracks and fly through ditches and get airborn. Lol

Yeah it is probably the Mud tires. I had some years back and they mad everything shake and tumble. What brand are you running?

 

Currently have RBP “Repulsors” on. They apparently were a nightmare to balance, but the tech dialed them in. I have ran mostly Nittos and Toyos in the past, but purchased these because of the ridiculous low price compared to the big names.

 

Any shaking or issues with he Nitto and Toyo brands?

No, they seem to balance better. The drone from the Nitto Trail Grapplers was LOUD!!!!
