OP, nobody can help you unless you provide some specifics about tire width and wheel back spacing. 12" wide wheel means nothing without giving us the back spacing or offset.

And as @jlee said, you can fit 33's and 35's on a stock truck, let alone 7" of lift. Both Jerry and I run a 35x12.5" tire with zero lift. I added preload to bring me up to right at 3" of lift up front and he added 2".

Each to their own, but with 7" of lift, 33-35's gonna make your truck look like it skipped leg day. CenCal status.

Remember , You will need a way to somehow get into the cab too. And passengers, your dog, etc. Tire cost will exponentially go up drastically, unless you found a money tree that still eludes me so far.:headbang:

Just my $.02, but most anything over 4" just looks like a bro truck. Certain guys are able to pull off a 5-6", but a lot of thought needs to go into making it look right.

I have a 7" lift with 20x10 -24 offset and 35x12.5 tires with trimming to the front bumper taken off but there is no rubbing and I'm very happy. I'm glad I had a competent shop do the install because I know others with similar setups (6" lift and same specs on wheels/tires) with tons of rubbing. Hopefully this can help.IMAG0921.jpg

Rubbing will have to do with wheel offset as well.

Most of the 6" + lifts that I've seen up close don't appear to be ideal at all when it comes to serious off roading. Looks cool as hell but thinking the ride sucks once you get off road (not a beach). In some cases maybe defeats the purpose. I've followed some super high lifted trucks up Moffat Road (google it) during hunting season and they were bouncing all over the place to the point of being ridiculous.

42"'s may require a diff ratio upgrade I'm thinkin. (Axle upgrade too)

I think the Tundra is a terrible truck to take off-roading, during hunting season on gravel roads I have to keep my truck in 4wd because the diff lock doesn't lock anything unless it detects slippage. Also, I don't like to take a 50k $ truck through brush and have more of a chance of putting dents into it. This is the only reason that I posted my truck for sale, I would be better off in a wrangler or tacoma with a beefed up suspension. I have a BDS installed on my Tundra and it comes with a life time warranty on all parts with no questions asked or reason of abuse.

Any 4X4 can get scratched if you aren't afraid to take it off road no matter what size it is. The Tundra is an excellent truck to take off road. Every 4X4 has it's limitations. What's important is knowing yours. Many of us here are quite competent when it comes to 4 wheeling no matter what we are driving. You are clearly in the minority. There are literally millions of full size truck owners out there that spend big bucks , 60K+ or more and are not afraid of actually using it. Go to Oregon and see what the loggers do with their new full size trucks, including Tundras. IE: WORK TRUCK!!! There are a couple of options that you can do to improve 4X4 capability. Auburn limited slip, ARB Locker. No offense, but if you have to keep your Tundra in 4X4 on a gravel road with out losing control, then I might want to question your driving abilities. I've been wheeling for 42 years. But what do I know?? Wrangler??? Give me a break....... I'll be more than happy to take you to school.

You are better off with one one these. Cheaper than 50K and doesn't need gas and hard to scratch up if you don't take it out of your driveway:

A wrangler or tacoma can go more places than a full size truck, mainly because of size. When I had a Wrangler I would drive around full size lifted diesels that were stuck in the mud and continue to my destinations. I'm aware that any 4x4 can get scratched but when I want to keep my 50k $ vehicle scratch free, it limits my areas that I can drive; or I can buy a 12k $ vehicle that can do more in the mountains that I'm interested in and not have to worry about more rock chips, scratches, and dents. I'm actually from Oregon and at the age of 35, I've been in the mountains since I've been young. A lot of the roads where I go hunting require at least a diff lock to make it through because of an up hill climb. Don't act like I don't know what I'm talking about.

I've got a rock warrior crewmax on 37's and full long travel. Easily cleared the 50k mark. whats wrong with putting scratches on it? Gives it character. I mean if you buy a 4x4 and have no intentions of using it or afraid to get it scratched then whats the point? That's like paying for a hooker to babysit your kids. And you don't even get a BJ out of it.

You don't. I lived in Oregon. Drain. Set chokers/landing chaser for 2 1/2 years. My first 4X4 was a 57 CJ5 that I totally rebuilt before you were born. Wranglers suck. Obviously a Jeep can go more places than a full size truck. I had a brand new 75 Ford reg cab w/360 V-8, no locker, stock bull shit tires and took it almost everywhere, even steep cat-made fire trails. Before you were born..

Myrtle Point, "Obviously a Jeep can go more places than a full size truck" my whole reasoning for getting a Wrangler or Tacoma because of size. Wranglers suck because of why? I'm able to go down and up mud trails that a full size truck can't go through because of size.
