Do you have any pix of the outcome of your trimming?

New here, but read posts on here to figure out what size to get so i figured i would offer what i found. I was able to fit Nitto Terra Grappler G2, 295/70R18 with no trimming or rubbing. I did take the small front flap off but I could have left it on.

295/70/18 trail grapplers. No trimming, just removed the small mud flaps on the front.

TRON, do you have front pics, to show the wheel offset? Wondering if the mesh pushes it out too and if I should go with the NV.

Did you lift the truck at all? I have a 16' SR5 with the TRD off road package and want to get the largest tire on it without a lift (so I don't void any warranty).

    Been running the 35" for a while now...third set of tires...now on the Toyo R/T 35 1250 R 17. Still on the rock-warrior rims...works great.

What part of the warranty are you worried about voiding? I installed 6112s the first month. Their are laws that protect you on warranties. Basically the aftermarket part has to be directly linked to the failure.

Hey everyone, new to the forum and just bought my first Tundra a week ago. 2014 TRD off road stock right now but I’m about to attempt slapping on these 35x12.5x18 BFG KO2s mounted on the Method Mesh wheels which are 18x9 with 18 offset. I saw that Tron is running these so hopefully I can pull it off. Might do the BMC today if I feel like it’s needed. More pics to come...

Thank y’all for contributing! I can confirm that the 295/70/18R will fit 2017 TRD pro. Just put Nitto Terra Grapplers G2 on yesterday and they look amazing in my opinion.
    - no trimming and no spacers
    - stock rims
    - no rubbing

Cooper Discoverer XLTs (285/65/R18) installed at Discount Tire. Love the tires so far, look great... modest upgrade in size. I wish Cooper made 285/70/r18's in this tire. In the future, I may go with the 295/70R18 that others have done with other tire brands... but was a little hesitant, based on specs on Tire Rack and Cooper's site... this tire is apparently a little wider in size than others and didn't want rubbing.

Tron, love the way your truck looks with the new tires! What size did you get? I have a Pro so do I need to add a lift or trimming?

35/12.5 will be very close to UCA using stock +60 wheels, but some do and hub centric spacers may be needed.

    I’d say 295/70/18 or 285/70/18

Yeah I was thinking 285 or 295s. Saw on some pros front little mud flap was removed but no rubbing. Just want to be positive before investing in 1k tires lol

I have the Pro suspension and BBS wheels on my 1794 CM. I think you will rub a bit with 295/70s, at least I did. Removed front flap and heat gun to shape front splash well forward about 1/2" where it bolts to the end cap. Also, used heat gun to "flatten" the hard bend in the mud flap. No need to trim the skid plate if running TRD, but I had to trim the ears off (or they can be easily bent) when I had the factory skid plate. I'm also running 1" BORA wheels spacers, 0.25" CB shims on top of the fronts and 1.5" shackle in the rear:

Yeah I'm not sure maybe it depends on tires. Like I mentioned some pros with fox suspension don't rub with 295s I'd like to get largest tires I can. But don't want to do cutting at all. Might just play it safe with 285s unless tire shop is willing to throw 295s so I can "test" it in full lock lol

Sure. I think my 1" wheel spacers probably made rubbing on the front liner a little worse but maybe helped toward the sway bar and provide more UCA clearance. If you're not willing to make a few minor mods., chances are the 285/70's are the safe bet but do tend to cost a little more with fewer tire selections. Also, I think the RG 285/70 R18 weigh the same 59 Lbs. as my Cooper Discoverer 295/70 XLT AT3s. Best of Luck!

Yep and to me the sweet spot are the 285/70 RG as they’re 10lbs less than 295/70s

I have both with 295s on Pro

Just added some bfg km3 35/12.5 they only rub a bit after removing the mud flaps. Need to move liner but no need to chop. By the way I do have the coachbuilder shims on front and also got the bumper spacer from them...Screenshot_20210701-152945_Gallery.jpg
