I didn't paint it personally. I had it done. Got a great guy who is a professional auto painter. Satin clearcoat over black.

    Started deleting the chrome.
Painted the mirrors and powder coated the exhaust tips and rear pumper ends 15% matte black.
Sooo much easier to just pull the bumper off to release the clips for the bumper pads. The blacked out rear bumper looks 10x better than the chrome..JMO
Next for the grill and hood bulge (body color) and powder coat the front bumper ends as well

I just got my Tundra. How did you get rid of the chrome? Did you take it to a shop?

Switched out the chrome grill for the Pro grill. Purchased tires and black wheels. Plastidip in front bumper ends. Plastidiped exhaust tip. Black overlays on all badges.

This color is awesome. Never liked in photos. Wife and I saw a TRD pro today in quicksand and both loved it.

    Inferno
    Cement
    Quicksand

Awesome colors. Wish 2019 had a better option.

Well finished the chrome delete went with factory (painted) PRO grill assembly and put my '18 honeycomb grill in it to the surround.. IDK.. just like I better.
Pilled all the Faux silver bolts off the flare and powder coated them the same 15% gloss black as the front bumper caps.
    now for those headlight....:spending:
I am super disappointed in the color match on a factory part it is not too bad in the sun but in low light or under florescent lights so this will all come apart this winter and I well have to paint them..

I have the PRO grill and a chrome surround if any one is interested. I am going to post it later but letting the one with the only color QS that matters know first..

My QS surround doesn't match very good either, kinda sucks since it ain't cheap. I'll live with it though because anything is better than the huge chrome surround and bulge that it had on it. Your honeycomb grill looks fantastic strangeobject!

Not yet quicksand. But just ordered my tintable bedliner and quicksand paint coded tint to do the body of my 08’ dc and our horse trailer I’ve been rebuilding for the last year. Getting pretty stoked. Quicksand is such an awesome color! I feel like it’s the perfect color for hiding road dust as a bonus. I’ll update the thread once I make some headway. Trailer first as per wifey haha.
