I know going in the best solution is to get a bigger garage. However, currently I'm not able to get one. I have attached a picture showing how close I am with the truck parked right up against the front wall. I'm writing to see if anybody has any solutions to hopefully get it in the garage this winter? Thanks for taking a look.

    Few things considered:

    * Seeing if a different grill might help shorten it up?

    * Exploring cutting out the portion of the front grill to help the truck move in enough for the garage door? (this might not work with girlfriend’s kitchen being pushed in a tad, although it is a huge kitchen).

    * Moving the framing forward on the garage door so that the garage door shuts outside the truck?

    * A friend suggested using ramps to elevate it a tad to accommodate for the distance I need. It is a tall ceiling garage?

    Any other suggestions?

If ford owners can figure it out, you shouldn't be stumped on this.

The ramp might be the easiest solution.

Also, call a garage door company. They may have some options to throw out. Different door? Guide rails moved? They probably have seen it before..

3B86F816-51DD-4E8C-823D-FC2F6A1454C2.jpg The ramps are a pretty painless fix. I have these rhino ramps for oil changes, they have anti-skid pads on them as well. You can pick them up for about $35-40.

Back in using the backup camera you can get within an inch or two. It's the best way I've found so far.

I thought about a new bumper option but the hitch sticks out further. That’s probably something that can be changed as well though.

I would think the truck length is the truck length but it never hurts to try.

Agreed. I think it is 229 inches. I don't have a real long garage.

Part of the deal with our house was my truck has to fit. If it didn’t, deal was off. I measured like 20x lol.

Backing in is the only way I can get mine to fit in the garage. I have a step up from the floor of the garage leading into the house. If I park forward my wheels press against it and I don’t want to have to hit the gas to get on the curb, that could lead to my truck in the kitchen. Definitely try backing in using your camera and also checking with your eyes! I bet there’s a chance you can squeeze it in!

How much too long is the truck? If is is - finished garage you could cut out the Sheetrock around the bumper and that would give you another 1/2”-5/8” inch.

It's just sheetrock painted white. On the opposite side is the kitchen cabinets. I think it might be a load bearing wall is my concern.

Sheetrock does not carry a load so you could cut out a 10” strip the width of the truck w/o impacting anything. (I would seal up the openings between the 2 sides of the wall so critters don’t git in.).

Not the prettiest solution but if you are really close to fitting it might be enough.

Calibrated Power 5 Tune pack, Allison 1000 tune, PPE deep trans pan, Cold/Hot CAC pipes, Banks CAI, PCV reroute, resonator delete, S&B 62 gal fuel tank, B&W GN hitch
Ramps would work, but ghetto AF.

I would do long term solutions like extending garage.

Any room for a nice carport in front of your current garage?
