We are selling the TT, and a couple wanted to see if their 15’ Chevy 1500 will pull the camper.

This should be a hoot. I’ll report back later on the results. :D

7200 dry weight. It put a pretty good smack down on my 12’ Tundra.

    Always insured

I’m the one that insisted they tow with it first. Probably a good idea before they drop $21K

So it’s within their rating it just won’t be fun up the hills. I plan on a TT around 5000 pounds. Actually less would be better.

If they have the common gear of 3.08's they wont have fun towing that thing. Curious to hear the results.

    Well we got back.

Suspension is stock, I added a little load distribution to help with the tongue weight.

They have load range D tires at 36 psi, and after towing, that needed to be up around 50-55 psi. 833D84FB-2807-4273-8484-09D50A60F72E.jpg

So I’m not going to lie, it did pretty good. I thought this was going to be a joke.

The suspension squatted 1.5” in the rear.

Power wise, it did pretty good. Grade braking was also in line with all the other 1/2 tons I’ve towed with (except Ram).

It’s a small world as well. He commented on my “thin blue line” and police support comments. Comes to find out, he is a Douglas county Officer and knows @COMiamiFan and @T-Rex266. I had a little laugh about that.

    Ha ha!!

I have a thing about putting first responders and military personal (pics included) info out there. They already have a target painted on their back.

Good thing, he knows some El Paso county deputies that would love to sit out here and give stupidity awards all day. Win win for me.
