My names Phil, I have a 2001 SR5 with 208,500 miles on it. I've replaced all the ignition coils. It starts great, idles smooth, but as soon as I put it in drive I can feel it start missing. I had a code P300 (multiple, random misfires), so I replaced 6 coils. (I had already replaced 2 within the last year) The last codes read were P305 and P305pd, (new coin in cylinder 5, what the pd represents I haven't been able to find out). Any suggestions regarding the misfiring only after it's put in gear? Thanks for any response.

The “pd” after the code most likely means pending, as a warning. Did you replace the plugs when the coils were changed out? What did the plug in cylinder #5 look like? What did #5 coil look like? It’s weird that it fires up and idles normally but misses in gear.

Sounds like my experience with plugs....wouldn't start missing until engine was under a load, idled fine.
