I am a paranoid nut. How do I disable the GPS permanently?

I am a paranoid nut. How do I disable the GPS permanently? I assume it's there because my dashboard gives me weather at my location and even the traffic map shows exactly where I am.

Even better if I can remove the GPS hardware unit.

 

Unplug gps antenna. Take a hammer to your cellphone. Stay off internet, pay in cash, work under the table, sever all relationships, don't travel by any government supervised methods, stop going to medical or dental facilities etc, etc, etc.

Have a nice life.

Seriously though, unplug antenna and removed entune app, turn off Bluetooth and phone. Should be sufficient

 

By antenna, do you mean this antenna? I thought it was for the radio.



How do I remove the entune app?

 

Buy a T-100 or first gen. No worries. They won’t be listening anymore.

 

That's the AM/FM antenna. Pull the head unit and remove the GPS antenna and Sat antenna. Remove entune from cellphone. Turn off Bluetooth. Never connect phone via USB. Remove battery for hour or so to wipe head unit memory. That should do it

I never connected phone to entune or installed any apps on my phone so I'm good there.

This involves much more than an antenna.
Check the newspapers around the day you were born to find the names of babies that died that day. Ask your state government for their birth certificates.

This isn’t unusual. Many people lose their birth certificates.

Use the birth certificate to get a social security card (say you’ve been a permanent student up until now). Use the two forms of ID to get a bank account, credit cards, driver’s license.

Change your hair color. Lose weight. Put a tack in your shoe so you start to walk differently. Start siphoning money out of your bank account until it is all in cash.

Find a crowded city where you can rent an apartment cheap and disappear in the crowd. Plan on building an employment history by starting with temp or construction jobs.

Then disappear. Just walk out of your house and never go back.

I tied turning off blue tooth on mine and it is there as an option, but somehow it is not allowing me to turn it off. Looks like it is on permanently.
