    No BS, just got the Tundra yesterday and cranked it up today, all lights flashing, two different warnings saying “contact/visit dealer”.

    BUY THE WARRANTY. I should not have to be spending time out of my day at a dealer ALREADY. Truck is shuttering like crazy, feels like it is not running on all 8 cylinders.

    The dealer is keeping the truck here, computer code showing a “mis-fire”. Any advice???

    That sucks haven't heard of this being an issue. On the '18s on the Safety Sense and Pre Collision has been a known issue, but not this.... as an added note, I would like to know what dealer is open on a Sunday. That's almost more rare than the issue you described.

    All I know is after they hooked it up it gave a “misfire” code, and they have to keep it. This is my fuckin life! Unreal. 600 miles and in the shop!

    This could be a faulty coil pack.

    In my experiences, any problems with vehicles regardless of manufacturer show up quickly, they are addressed and you never have a problem again.

    That's awesome and consider yourself lucky that they were open today. Definitely a very rare situation all the way around. Albeit, an unfortunate situation for you. Hope they can get it diagnosed and resolved quickly for you.

    That's what I was thinking, faulty coil pack or wire not plugged in to plug or connection

    I agree. Should be a quick fix. I had a wheel speed sensor go out on my current truck at 4000 miles. I checked out the Duramax forums and it was like my truck was a lemon, sell it ASAP, the sky is falling...lol. 20K miles later of pretty hard use, the sky was not falling. Electronics fail. Some of the downsides of safety features and not having to deal with tuning a carburetor.

    Years ago, Transmission failed on my 2004 Acura TL (brand new) at 1100 miles. Acura ended up replacing the transmission and started a recall.

    Shit happens sometimes.....

    Things built by humans will never be 100%. Be thankful you have a warranty and a service department open on Sundays.

    First world problems are never as bad as they seem.

    Understood. But the following does suck;

    1. Having all this shit on my face;
    2. Time out from my Sunday to take a brand new truck to the service dept;
    3. Talking so much shit about Dodge, GMC and Ford, now I’m going to have to eat some crow for sure.

    I get it. I guess after cutting a check for $41,600 you’d expect a little longevity. Shame on me.

    I've had to take mine in for the ECU replacement dealio, then back for the software update...I chaulked it up for working out the bugs like @ColoradoTJ says...if I had to go back in for something like this, I would probably get a bit testy about it also.
