HELLO ALL! I come from the land of T-dubz like many others. I've had a couple tacos and loved them, but I totalled my last one decided they were too rich for my blood and here I am in a 4x4 Limited Tundy. Mainly a BS thread and photo dump area. Looking forward to some good information here like I know the sister site has.

    My whip right now!
    IMG_20160715_075222.jpg
Already changed out the wheels to Lexus GX470 ones PC dark matte bronze and spider traxx off my '12 Spruce Mica Taco. Flashlight mount mod and TRD bling.

@allpro bed rack get's here tomorrow! And I grabbed this center console from a wrecked '03 yesterday to switch out with mine.

Also, picked up a S&B cold air intake. Very, very poor quality IMO, but I got plans to make it way better. My buddy is making me a new Aluminum cover with a custom design for it :D

So yeah that's where I'm at. I'll post up some pics of my past rides later.

More than likely wait for a used set of kings to pop up and snag them otherwise save up for ads and make it a solid midtravel setup with coils bucket gussets, spindle gussets, box the frame upgrade to poly steering bushings and try to find the 231mm brakes from a 05+ Then resist the urge to throw on the McMfab cantilever rear setup. Relentless fab front bumper and skids and the rear bumper some sort of custom high clearance with a swing out possibly.

And about 50 other small details.

Finally got around to switching out my center console to one I picked up from a totaled out 03 limited.
    20161003_171729.jpg
First you empty the console and take out the felt bottom. Remove the four 10mm bolts and she pops right out.
    20161003_174442.jpg
Then, you take out the two push pin inserts on either side this lower portion pulls out.
    20161003_174434.jpg
Unplug the two 12 volt plugs and you can toss, sell, or save that old piece. Some jackhole spliced in a 3rd 12volt plug for an ancient Sirius radio setup. Left it all behind.:smack:
    20161003_175421.jpg
Test fitting, lines up pretty nicely for going on an older model tundy.

    20161003_181142.jpg
From the totaled truck came 3 brackets and two air ducts. The air ducts don't line up right at all so I'm not gonna use them. The front most and middle bracket you have to cut away at the carpet to mount them to the transmission tunnel. The front most one I'm not gonna use because I'll be cutting away that section of console to mount a CB (more on that later). The middle bracket I lined up to the holes on the console but didn't cut away the carpet it seemed pretty sturdy and is more for support rather than securing it down.
    20161003_181144.jpg
    20161003_181305.jpg
Rear bracket uses two of the existing holes (rear) from the old console. I didn't have sound deadening material and didn't want vibrations so I used electrical tape for now.
    20161003_181755.jpg
The front holes of the old console aren't used at all and so it just leaves two holes to the ground. So I put the bolts back in.
    20161003_182350.jpg
    20161003_182455.jpg
From there it was easy, it all slides in and bolts up nicely. Matches all the stock limited trim from 01 perfectly. Very pleased with how this turned out, soon I will cut some of the center console so I can mount my CB radio up.

Great first gen project! I always had wanted to do that center console mod to mine but could never find the parts. Keep us up to date. We are picture whores here.

Thanks man, I always have plenty of pictures. I spend most my time on tacomaworld the AZ crew is super active. I just found a totaled 03 at a pick and pull and went and got the parts for 50 or 60 bucks

Anyone wanna trade me my 03 limited full console for a limited half console, going with a manual 4wd J-shift transfer case and gonna need to cut a hole in the transmission tunnel. Even trade no money on top!
