So the crap pipe sometimes scrapes the curb as I pull out the trailer. I know from past reads I have done that this has been a cheap way to lift trucks. So can I place my leaf springs on the trailer above the axle? The trailer weights 6,500 I believe. Its a dual axle and I'm guessing I will get a 4-5" lift out of this idea and it will give me plenty of clearance.

Just a few, more to come
shouldnt be an issue to go SOA on there, looks like you'd need to just extend the bump stop pads if you did that though.
Lots of guys do exactly this when towing behind lifted trucks to get the trailer up closer to hitch height. Might lose a bit of stability with the higher stance

I've only done this on a single axle, 3,500 lbs trailer to, like @Relentless mentioned, tow behind a lifted truck. The only thing that I might be concerned with is possibly some unforeseen handling characteristics, may become squirrely at highway speeds. No real basis for that though, just something to be wary of I guess.

    Check etrailer.com

They have the spring over conversions for around 44.00 each.

As others have stated, handling may be affected.

Another route I have gone either trying to go up or down is tires. Can you run a taller tire?

I can, but two inches taller tire only gains one inch of clearance.

You know what they say, an inch can save a marriage. Lol

    How much do you need?

Have you considered modifying the poop plumbing to gain clearance?
If that's not possible, I would check with the TT manufacturer before lifting the TT. Good luck.

I was looking at the pictures again and noticed a pretty good crack in the tread of the tire. Something to add to the list.

Lol. Holy shit, that is the Grand Canyon in your tire!

I just purchase another spare tire for the TT. The old one is brand new, but in a LR D and I have Es on all my trailers.

Discount has some pretty good deals on ST tires right now. I was out of the store with a LR E 225 for under 95.00.

The line is level with the tank right before the spout. Ot would be a major overhaul to modify it.

Bummer, I was going to give you my extra spare that can't be used. Wrong size.
