Screenshot_20180626-154027_Chrome.jpg So I'm on the fence about a good setup for the bed. One thing I've been looking into is the chase rack from sdhq. Love the style and the look, but I'm in tn.. not Arizona or ca... lots of rain, pretty much eliminates a bed cover with the spare mounted.

However I found this option, and am considering doing this along with a bed floor spare mount and keeping my factory toyota cover. I've built my entire truck based off finding things that I like on here and advice from the people that have used or are using these products. All help and input is appreciated. List pros and cons in case it's something I haven't considered.

That's pretty cool. I like the idea. If I were you shoot (check your pm) a PM with the idea and what you're specs would be, such as tonneau cover mount and all that. I'd be willing to bet this is something he would run with

Lol I didn't wanna blow Eric's cover on this one so I edited my post. If it works out he deserves the credit, dont need anyone swooping in on my tag and stealing his thunder. I will however collect my finders fee at a later date ;) JK I owe @Erichudgins big time

So I just got done mountain biking, and now I'm having a beer.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but am I being asked to make something that another vendor already makes?

Kind of but really make something better than what another vendor makes that works for our tundras, not just a generic add on. You've got great vision when it comes to this stuff and seem to find a way to improve on certain designs. best example I can think of is your Tacoma tailgate cap, others made them but yours is the only one that wraps around making it so much stronger.

Sorry man, I can't do that.

Plus we're so busy with the www.max-modular.com stuff that I barely have time to piss.

Save your money and lay your shovel in the truck bed instead of mounting it or buy a fold up shovel.

@Erichudgins Have you asked Rago if they can improve upon their design?

Shovel isn't really my concern. Just the rack in general. More for traction boards and gas cans and possibly a jack.mounting my spare is the biggest concern without taking up a ton of bed space.

Lol that's what this post is trying to decipher. Do I want to eliminate the luxury of a bed cover or go with an open bed model with alot more storage space.. mounting the spare is a huge thing too.
