Ok. Thanks. Was looking for storage space. The CM does have any but plenty of leg room for the rear passengers.

Just did this on my 2018 double cab. It worked like a champ. Thank you to the OP for the write up. This should be a sticky somewhere. I took a full 1”+ off mine using an angle grinder.

Also, This post is hard to find. It belongs in the third generation tundra section not the second generation tundra section. Or maybe it is applicable to both.

Well I bought some off of a guy that had them custom cut. I went to install them and decided to use them as a template to cut my factory ones. It was pretty easy. Although raising the entire seat up isn’t a horrible idea.

I cut 7/8 ths of an inch then used the tip to shape the end and that worked well, until I had to lift the whole seat 1.5 inches to fit a sub.. now they don't work.

I’d be willing to bet someone would buy your trimmed ones off of you or just trade you their uncut pieces for your trimmed ones.

I would be interested in seeing how you raised your seat up 1.5", as I would like to go that route as well to do under-seat subs.

Any safety concerns with this mod? Any chance the seat could come unhinged during an accident?

Wow, that was a quick reply, thanks.

I can't wait to do this.

I'm hoping this will be a good place to mount a Hi-Lift Jack.
