So the plastic piece on my drivers seat has broken so it does sit right on the side of the seat.

Any recommendations on where to pick up a part like this. I think my googling sucks because I am not really finding this part.

The front top corner plastic clip broke.

And is there supposed to be a zip tie securing the bottom of the trim??

I would hope Toyota doesn't zip tie their trucks together.

Anyone else have a zip tie holding there seat side plastic on?

    I do.

It’s my fix until I buy another side plastic piece.

I don't allow short people in my truck for this reason. They can't get out without sliding down the side of the seat....little bastards....

I zip tied about 4 rounds worth then I finally wised up and did this, without having to every tinker with it again......

Sorry no pictures, but I'll describe it.

I took a piece of conduit pipe, maybe an inch in circumference, took my grinder to it and cut it mostly in half lengthwise. Essentially, one quarter of it in length was ground away to make a 3 inch long brace. I took that brace and epoxied it to the inside of the plastic cover after grinding away a few plastic areas in the cover. That brace then went over that metal bar attached to the seat frame. Voila!

That bad boy hasn't budged since

My Tundra did the same thing and has the zip tie on the bottom. Is the recline cover easy to remove and install? Any info on installation or where to find it? Thanks

Very easy. Just a screw from behind the seat if I recall and a tug.

This repair was based on one of the posts above. I left the stump of the broken off clip to help brace the new conduit made clip.
