Definitely get the St Maxx compared to the Pro if you are worried about noise. Mine handle great and I drive it pretty aggressively. Noise is not a factor at this point.

No issues with mine and I haven't heard of anybody else having issues. I am a research freak about my purchases and am thoroughly happy with these.

Very good price and seen some reviews only thing I don't like is side wall doesn't seem very aggressive that's why i like the ridge grapplers and toyo rt and st pro.....but don't like the price on the ridge its around 311.00 per tire

Not aggressive enough? I thought the Ridge grapplers looked too busy, too much sidewall crap for me, but thats my opinion.

Yep had to trim and still rub a little but I can deal with it. If I take off mudflaps from the front I won't rub anymore but I want the protection. I have 2.5 lift up front.

Cooper makes great tires IMO. I ran the STT Pro and was amazed with it's toughness and good street manners. I would recommend the the maxx for your driving.

The ST Maxx's are an outstanding hybrid AT. Not loud at all. Tread design allows you to cover lots of terrain and little to no hydroplaning. Had them a year now. Tire wear not bad at all. The STT Pro M/T's will get you anywhere. Not great on ice/ thin snow packed pavement. Who cares! Not what I got them for. Much better than my Nitto Trail Grappler M/T's by far. Do what I did. Go with both!

With that size do you have to do any kind of programmer or re gearing?

295/70/18. No need to re-gear. 34.5" Bully Dog would be a plus though.

The bully dog really helps with the 3rd gen 'cause the throttle response is really retarded compared to my '07.

The STT and Maxx's both have Armor-Tek 3 ply side walls. So far no major chipping or breaking off tread rubber when wheeling in the rough stuff.

Yeah I'm just really doing it for the stance and looks compared to my brand new 275 65 18 Toyo at2 I just hope ride quality doesn't go the negative way by switching

In my experience, ride quality suffers due to the weight of the larger tires. I thought the quality of ride with the Cooper's was about as good as it could be given the size of the tire.

I have load range E which can be a bit stiff. You need to find the air pressure sweet spot.
