Maybe depending on your area and how many run the pro grill. My area I hardly see non pros running the grill. I do kinda want to switch it up for a but just to have change of scenery.

Same here, hardly see Tundras nevermind Pro grilles in my town. But I do want to upgrade to the 2019 honeycomb Pro grille when it’s out.

I like this, you're truck doesnt look like a monochromatic blob. breaks it up nicely, i might have to go on the look out for that center section.

Hans , did you ever color match the bumper covers and mirrors? If so do you have a pic of the front like that with the limited grill?

How hard was it to remove the original "center section" of your 1794 grill? I have been thinking of doing this EXACT setup.

It's not that hard, aggravating is a better word. Just take your time, and there is 2 tabs you are more than likely gonna break, but it's not a big deal, it will not affect anything.

    Yup!!
I've removed two... One from my Chrome SR5 and the TRD Pro to get the surround. The two clips in the lower right and left corners broke on BOTH of them. Really not a big deal though since it has 10 more clips AND screws to keep it in.

I like it with the color matched surround.
Much better than all the chrome.
I'm still a bigger fan of the 2014-2017 TRD Pro grille though. The 2019 Pro Grille doesnt look much better than the regular honeycomb to me.

One of the first things I noticed about the new ‘18s was the grill...and instantly disliked it. Was a fan of the Pro grill too but the saturation of it on the road has diminished my affinity for it. I’ll stick with the plain mesh look :notsure:

Transplant complete, insert from 2018 limited into 2015 limited painted surround. Very simple, just unclip the tabs on outer perimeter, undo the 4 screws on the 2105, the 2018 uses 8 screws. In the event you break a side tab the 2018 insert will still be solid since it has the extra screws. Just use care along the bottom to preserve lower tabs. Remember to order the little door on the top as well. 30 min job.

    Too many TRD parts
Does the ‘15 have spots for the 8 screws since it only came with 4?

im not 100% positive cause this was a while back and it is a very brief swap. I think when you move the '18 center piece you will use all 8 screws on the old surround. It is solid, even with a few tabs broken the screws hold it just fine.

I have a '14 DC SR5. Really wanting to swap out the stock grille for either the 14-17 Pro grille or a new 18 SR5 honeycomb grille. I am torn between the two. I found the grille and bulge combo on through Roman w/ painted surround and bulge in MGM for around $500. Or I can snag a take-off '19 SR5 honeycomb grille and chrome surround for under $200. Obviously the color matched surround and bulge would be first choice for me BUT is it worth the $300....

That's a great look. I'm on the hunt for a grille like this if any of you are looking to upgrade. But you have to be willing to ship.
