Thinking of my next mod, probably a few months away. Considering adding a rear seat bar but is it really worth it? I don't offroad, I don't race it or push it into corners, just normal stop and go and back roads, which have curves and get windy. Could I spend $250 elsewhere on something that I'd like better?

The sway bar (seat bar) makes a very noticeable difference in cornering. I got rid of mine for off roading but if I didn't drive off road I'd want the sway bar.

It can be edited but I don't know how to do it either. @joonbug knows how.

    Kings F&R, no sway bars
RSB is worth it if you’re strictly a pavement licker, I’ve had fun with mine taking turns at 75mph even off ramps and the truck was stable. Now with king shocks on I took off both sway bars and I snort desert dust now and going faster off-road, still stable on road but cumon it’s a truck naw mean?!

Worth every penny ! One of the first mod's I did , it makes all the difference in the world . I got the TRD one and the amount of body roll /leaning decreased in corners . Hwy on ramps is amazing.

Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum (lurker...ha). I got a rear and front trd sway bar last week. (Painted them black). They really help to keep the truck level in corners and improve steering feel. There are lots of curvy mountain roads here, and before the bars, the truck felt loose like a ship at sea. Its much more solid feeling. Just remember, these bars are for road use only, as they limit suspension articulation offroad.
    Cheers

Also think it's worth the $$...however - you said you'll be driving on back roads. I will say if any of those are a little rough (paved or non-paved) you will feel the bounce from the ass end more. If one tire hits the pot hole you'll feel it like they both did because the axle and frame are now tied together. Even a concrete road that has settled and has dips (not sure how to explain it) feels like you're gonna be thrown out of your seat. But then again that's highway speeds...slow driving might not be as bad. Just a word of caution.

Agreed. The 02’ came with a front sway bar and I noticed that when at speed on highway dips and bumps/fissures that the entire front end “jumped” at every hit and seemed to reverberate a noticeable swerve into the rear end of the truck. When the sway links rusted off the sway bar my ride became noticeable smoother without that reverb. The trade off w/o sway bar is a little more roll (not much) but a far superior highway feel as well as better articulation at low speed bumps. For me its a net gain. Do not recommend a sway bar unless you are doing speed racer turns all around town all day long. If you drive like you need a sway bar, then maybe consider a sportster type car instead of a truck.

The roads around here all all paved but less than desirable as far as the condition. We get pot holes and frost heaves. The roads can be quite rough at times. This would deter some of you from doing the sway bar?

If you are going to buy them wait til ebay runs the 20% off on automotive. I had both front and rear bars in my cart and the coupon code ended at 10p and i was trying to checkout when it expired. Both came out to about 390 or so with free shipping. One unit was shipping from sparks the other from some dealer in WI.

    Im patiently waiting again.

Mine came on my truck when I bought it. So I cannot tell you before and after? Can someone tell me factory torque specs from install guide? Can it be over tightened? When I relocated it to rear of rear end when I installed shackles I really torqued it down and now wonder?thanks. D
