You know there has been some talk here and there about the best way to go on audio. Whether it be plug and play with ********* or calling James at tech12volts and letting him build something in your price range. I myself was on the fence about which way I wanted to go. After multiple visits to local car audio locations, and multiple chats online with *********, I had made my decision.

Once I was ready, I setup an appointment for install, and that was yesterday. I was told to plan for a possible day and a half, but was told it usually only takes a day but things do happen, for the SQ1 install. Including the sound matting on 4 doors and rear wall. This didn't surprise me as I had gotten 2 day times frames from local car audio places, for roughly the same.

I arrived an hour early and was there when the guys rolled in. I got to meet the guy doing the work on my truck, the guy who I had talked to online and the owner known here as @tacorob. Upon arrival was welcomed and made to feel comfortable from these guys, who not only know and love car audio, but have a passion for their Toyotas. I instantly knew that whatever my system sounded like afterward, that I would like it. When guys get excited and are passion filled when talking about this stuff, you know they wont do you wrong. Out of all this, not 1 local place demonstrated these same characteristics.

I wanted to write a post because I have yet to see 1 on here to this point. My sales experience was great. My install was flawless. My experience while waiting was excellent, hospitality with lunch was an added bonus, thanks again, Rob. As I previously stated I knew I would like my system, but I didn't realize how much I would love it.

I would highly recommend dealing with these guys, if you are looking for an audio upgrade. Especially if you believe in supporting small business, and good people. Without letting anything out of the bag, I will probably be dealing with them again.

Unfortunately, I didn't get many pictures, and cant really take any after the fact because everything is hidden and covered up. Also I was slightly disappointed that none of the beautiful women from the website were there.

What is your auditory opinion of the difference between the stock system and the taco tunes one you got?

I know you can easily say "night and day", but more specifically, did you notice a difference is the highs? were you able to control the range of frequencies enough with the stock head unit? I am a little weary about the amps and how much power they have to push good sound quality through the component speakers.

I am on the fence between taco tunes, tech12volt and a custom build; I have read a ton of threads and am still undecided. So any additional information helps.

I got SQ1 package, with that came the Recurve EZQ. The system is tweaked by the installer upon install. I believe if you have it shipped to you and install yourself they have a YouTube video on how to tweak it yourself. There is a major sound difference in the system, with stock I could crank it all the way up and not get the sound i get now at half that. I would gladly put this ********* setup against anyone who has the 2 JL 10tw3 setup, and I'd be willing to put money on it to back it up. It seriously is amazing, and I've been told that they cant believe it's only 2-10s.

I don't have the option for going to Texas but thinking about doing a 3 hour trip to Tech12volts over local guys for the same reason.

2 10's in a ported box with 800-1k watts (doubtfull those little amps are actually pushing that much) will do that.

I am on the fence myself. Trying to decide between the LOC1 and an amp or just get the Taco Tunes amp and harness. Not sure which will sound better. I am just going with a single 10" woofer.

Larmand, did you have yours installed in SA or did you use a local installer, like Goode Offroad?
