Hey guys, great forum and thanks for having me! The story is that my son wanted a Tacoma and after doing research? Settled on the Inferno Orange with the orange piping on the seats, 4x4 and the list goes on...he ended up getting every dang option on the truck except the hood scoop because that was only on the sport edition and he wanted a true 4x4 with the locking rear and "crawl" feature...found one in AZ but it sold the day before. They told him they had another coming in but not until the end of April so he left a deposit on it. Somehow they did a dealer trade and got him the truck he wanted but with the JBL upgrade...for the same price...needless to say we drove the 4 hours to pick up his truck...pretty amazing piece of machinery!...

BUT what caught my attention was this Inferno Orange Tundra on the show room floor...lifted with aftermarket rims and tires...TRD dual exhaust...I was smitten and bought it on the spot...

Here are the seats with the orange piping...believe it or not? It was the deal breaker for my son...he could live without the hood scoop but he darn sure was going to have this orange piping on the seats...lol...AND it had a pretty cool orange dash to go with it...

So let me see if I got this right. You were driving your son about 200 miles to pick up his 2016 Tacoma inferno and you got a wild hair and bought a 2016 Tundra inferno. They you both pulled in the driveway and what did your wife say?

Ahh you are a wise man indeed...I don't know how her head doesn't explode when I do crazy things like this...BUT...I traded in my 2009 Suburban which I had just dropped $7000 on a new engine and misc. stuff like injectors and the like...only to have a several other things go wrong...worst was a electrical gremlin which reared it's ugly head out of no where...so I decided to cut my losses at this point...so she cut me some slack and let me live...

    This time...:bananadance:

I love it! I just got my 14 a week or so ago, before that I had a 2000 Toyota Tundra for over 10 years. Your new trucks should be problem free for many years.

Not sure...I don't know a darn thing about Toyota other than they are reliable...I thought I heard the saleperson say it was a 3" in the front and 1" in the rear? I dunno yet...I'm still trying to get through the instruction manual...lol...it's like an encyclopedia...

But if I come across the info I will post it up!...And yea you should have seen the salesforce when they started backing that beast off the showroom floor...they looked like I took their new toy away...lol...

Buying a Tundra is not crazy but buying a Suburban Is.
