Recently traded in 2008 Tundra with 150,000 and been kicking myself in the bum ever since. I am a upset owner of a new 2018 Tundra Limited, Cement. My last truck, all you guys helped me with advice on the Icon lift I did on it, and thank you guys for that. I bought my truck 14 May and in less then 50 miles my stereo won't play, (AM,FM,XM, Pairing) AUX and USB ports will not work and my cell speaker is better then the JBL Audio. So I sing to myself for 5 hours as I traveled back to Wyoming. I took it to Groove Toyota in Denver and they did nothing. But my AUX and USB ports are working. I heard about the dash issues from a friend and when I confronted the salesmen and finical guys before I bought it, they said there is no issues. I check my dash and it was perfect. With in two days, the dash has more curves on it then a victoria secret model. 9 days after I bought it, my friend was driving us to work and with a cop car behind us he set the cruise control from 45 to 55 via speedo gauge. He took the corner at 95 mph almost taking out 45 mailboxes and then off a 32 foot cliff. At this point I am pissed. BTW I have no outside thermometer. I called and toyota would not even talk to me. Since then the stereo freezes up. nothing will work, nothing shows up, won't pair and won't drown out the plastic bumper piece flappeing against the bumper. My front bumper is sagging now and Toyota will not do anything. A pointless warranty. I retained a lawyer who I was working on his property and now toyota refers me to there legal department vice getting this fixed. What happened to toyota. Did pontiac throw a toyota emblem on and sneaking back into the business. I am scared to do any modifications due to warranty issues. I mean I can honestly see toyota at this point deny warranty due to having an bottle opener on my keychain. Im too busy paying to have this thing towed around to afford modifications. Please help before I jerk the wheel off a bridge to see if turds can fly.

Sounds like you got a Monday Tundra (#uck this job) or a Fri Tundra, (#uck this, looks good to me). On a serious note, makes no sense your @ this (lawyer). Your Tundra is a little more than month old off the lot. What is there explanation for not fixing these issue's that should be covered under warranty. Have you tried contacting Toyota Headquarters, this is where I would start. Kill'em with kindness, no matter how upset you are. You would be surprised how far that goes. This whole situation seems bizzare to me, but that's just me:cool:. Good luck:thumbsup:

This does not sound like a Toyota or like a Toyota dealership.
Post pictures of your truck and show us the warped dashboard, sagging bumper and flapping plastic.

You should have gotten a white Tundra. You wouldn’t have had these issues.

Wow, sorry about your luck. I find it hard to believe that Groove Toyota did nothing to fix the truck. Post some pictures of the plastic flapping piece and curvy dash. You also made a comment about not having an outside thermometer? Does the head unit work at all? If you were a member before how is it you only have 2 posts? And what did the officer behind you say when you took the corner at 95 mph? Just curious.

Wait, what's this Victoria's secret model mod you speak of? I don't remember that being an option in 16 when I bought mine?

Can I retrofit into my DC or is it crewmax only? @Roman do you have part numbers for both the blonde and brunette version? What would look better on my white truck?

WOW!. I have had my truck for 6 months and 9,000 miles now and have not seen or heard of any of the dash issues, or plastic parts flapping in the wind. My truck is as solid as the Toyota that I had for 16 years before this one.
I hope you can get this fixed, OP. It certainly is not typical for a Tundra, or any Toyota for that matter.

How do you end up going 95 and not realize it? Were your brakes not working either?

I find everything in your post incredibly hard to believe.

If true, I'd suspect a wiring harness issue (short or ground) for the multiple electronic problems. However, I'd also think that there are more than one wiring harness. Does one harness connect to everything in this post? I'm also suspect that any of this is true, but then again it could be so. If I had the time, I'd check the Ford, GM, and RAM sites for Elk Hunter activity. But then again, I don't want to label the guy without proof. If this is true and he came at Toyota aggressively, they (like any business) went into defense mode. If true, I feel for him and would also be upset, but stating the facts in a rational manner goes a long way towards resolution.

    Too many to list
Freind of mine had similar problem w stereo which was replaced by Toyota under warranty and that fixed the problem.

Now, JBL not sounding great is a separate issue which is not covered under warranty i believe.

While super cute, I think Victoria's Secret models could use some more curves. I think OP's dash is probably straight as an arrow if that's the comparison.

Yep, my dash has more curves than the entire Victoria runway.
