Recommendations for radiator

So last Wednesday morning when I left from work the truck was blowing cold air,when I started driving it warmed up and everything was ok. So when I started the truck Wednesday night I got celebrated ran the code and it was P0125 low coolant. I found the lower pass side is leaking in the corner, What route should I go. 2008 tundra 5.7 del sr5.

 

I could probably use some stop leak for now,but that is a temp fix,right

 

Ya,you are probably right.buy I did it any way. I'll keep checking it . I'm going out of town for a week and when I get back I go right back to work until Wednesday.what would be a good radiator,I've kind or looked and prices are pretty broad,also the truck has the towing package, thanks

 

I know I will replace it and most likely do a entire flush,FUCK!!

Ya,not a hard job by any means,just need containers for the flush and then get rid of it. Time consuming!

Sounds like a good start! How long do you plan on keeping the truck? If a year or two you pick up a cheap new radiator swap it out and call it a day. Not a hard job at all. If you plan on keeping I would look into a oem or a aluminum upgrade.

 

Worst idea ever. Never ever use stop leak. It does more harm than good. Radiators are pretty much all the same now adays.... I have an aftermarket in my taco, I have oe in my tundra....

 

Did realize you were in denver. Contact performance radiators. We use them at work, we give customers the choice of oe or performance. Quality aftermarket parts

 

I'll contact them next week,gotta head to the airport now, out of town for work for a week

 

Hey y’all. Just diagnosed a leaking radiator on my ‘06 quad cab with a 4.7. I’m in Golden. Is the recommendation still Performance Radiator here in town for a replacement? Truck has about 250,000 miles on it, I plan on keeping it as long as it runs. Unfortunately I’m out of work at the moment so budget is a bit of a concern, probably wouldn’t go the aluminum route. Just want something as good or better than OEM that’ll likely go another 250k. Thanks!
