We had these last week. I was surprised at how little damage was on the Tundra. $3,800. I do, however, need a new roof on the house.

    That's a softball pictured

If you are in COS/fountain, do NOT take it to DMI collision. Took it their after the hail storm 2 yrs ago and they did such a shit job (tried to pick my truck up 4 times) i traded it in the day after they fixed it enough.

My neighbor took his to Williams auto body by peterson afb and had great work done by them.

Wow. Damn Pat, I would be grumpy.

My maintenance supervisor lives by you, and his 87 Toyota took a beating. His sits under a tree.

Notice the white Tundra in the background didn’t get one dent. Coincidence? I think not.

I've seen similar damage on another friend's Tundra RW. Tundra was only a couple years old and it was fixed up quite nicely. $14K and 1 month in the shop!

His truck won’t be totaled. Only downside to owning Toyota’s and high resale value.

This would be a great time to paint in a ghost mural or black flag remembering/honoring our fallen hero’s. I know a Canadian that puts all the names of his fallen countrymen on the side of his truck. It’s pretty bad ass.

Yeah, that's part of the reason I don't think they're practical. It takes a fair bit of work to get it on and you're not going to use it every single time your park which is the only way it can truly be effective.

I kind of already thought of this. I want to have my brothers Green Beret and Jump boots murrelled on the tailgate or hood.

For a stationary vehicle that doesn’t get used a lot, but still sits outside it’s a great investment. My brother uses his 24/7. They had tennis ball sized hail, his truck didn’t get one single dent.

    8773BF73-8ECD-4078-8EAD-5A674EAA5CED.jpg

As you said, for someone that uses their vehicle every day, what a PITA.

Depending on how attached you are to your tundra id also suggest some advice i should have taken a bit more.

"1. Be smart about this; really think about what you are doing.
    2. Work as close as you can with your dealership BEFORE you make ANY deal with the insurance company.
    3. Have the dealer thoroughly inspect it under bright lights on all sides without the insurance company present; there can be a lot of additional damage that is often NOT seen on a first hail damage inspection and this can COST you a lot of money, No matter what the insurance company will tells you!
    4. After the dealership has arrived at their estimate and after the insurance company has come up with their "final adjusted price which includes the additional items the dealership found that the insurance company missed!!!" THEN and only then are you armed with the information you need to "make a trade" for a new one and prevent losing a lot of money. You would make the trade BEFORE any repairs are attempted; the dealership would take it in as trade "as is-damaged". Do not tell the insurance company or even the dealership this is your plans up front."
