Thanks @BlueBottle. Mark pointed me to you & Milo fab. I would like to get the FRAC in quickly (parking this thing is a pain) since I used to parking a prius. Already got a scratch from being too close to a parking guide. Then the next step would be the sliders (removing the installed steps). I have an email into Milo fab.

Has anyone here successfully retrofitted the 2018 hood scoop onto their Tundra. I know... i know.... its not functional and some say it looks ugly, but I like it.

I just bought all the parts from Roman last week and Im due to take deliver later today. I plan on mocking up the parts, placement and holes and then sending the scoop out to paint.

If anyone's tackled this little DIY, I'd greatly appreciate any help or pointers that you can shoot my way that will make for a clean and easy install.

    Thanks

Since you are sending out to paint why not just have the body shop do it? They should have a much better eye getting it lined up straight. From what a few ppl told me its really easy.

If you are doing it yourself plastic trim tools(for under hood heat shield/insulation), get some masking tape, center punch, do a smaller pilot hole, and some touch up paint.

Gotcha. TBH I do most of all my DIY's. I'd do the paint myself too if I had the appropriate tools and work environment. I've got a pretty good rapport with my bodyshop as I've taken tons miscellaneous parts to them, to include 2 cars so the hood bulge will probably be less than 100 bucks to paint. Maybe cheapers since they've got leftover 1H5 from last time I had them paint some things.

Yea, it looks pretty much straight foward. Just wanted to get some input from those who've actually done it. There's always one hidden gremlin in every DIY I've done in the past, which would have saved me a headache and a half had I planned for it. And thanks for the reply man. Not sure, but I think we met a while back when I still had the 2nd gen.

I'd be lying if I said it's night and day between the '07 Limited and '17 Pro. Since the birth of my son, I have yet to take this baby out on the dirt but I know thats where I'll really see the positives.

I did take a couple L's in the luxury department since the Pro, well mine at least does not have some of the things my Limited had, but that can be retrofitted.

    CONS

Driver side Oh SH*t bar - DIY'd that
    Autolights-- DIY'd that
    PDC- Havent tackled that yet
Sunroof-- Kinda bummed but didnt use it much
Stereo/ DVD player (While the JBL wasnt the best, it's waaaay better than the trash i got in there RN.) * an upgraded system will be done. Nothing crazy, just better sound experience.
    * pretty much the stuff that normally comes with the higher grade.

    PLUS.

Love the Cement rarity. I see a ton online, but never in person
    Interior is sexy
    38 gallon gas tank
Love the '18 headlights + NSV bar
Suspension, when used will be visceral

in the end of it all my 07 was 10 years old and still looked badass. I actually got a great price for it. I feel like this '17 will keep me happy for another 10 years. =)

Man i know im late to the party, i always forget about the Tundra Forum, after they took it off Tapatalk I dont check it as much...but for fab work if any of you need anything like that or wiring, I am all booked up ATM, but i am referring everything to Milo, Milo does amazing work, and i fully support him being around here. WE def need another Fabricator - Installer in this neck of the woods that knows what they are doing. This business is hard to make it in...but i have a feeling Milo will be going places.... IF you have any questions let me know.

Who needs a Raptor when you have a Mid Travel Tundra?? I don't know what it is but the Tundra looks more aggressive. Maybe it's because of the tires or still dirty from Porker Flat and battle wounds from Peligreen.
