    Hello and welcome from Texas!

This may be a dumb question but....have you checked the bulbs? Are they good? Are there any even there?

I know....i sound like the guy saying "is your computer plugged in? Is it turned on?" But you would be surprised....

The on door off switch will make the lights come on when in on position but not when door position. Are there seperate bulbs for the door position? I guess the main thing thats throwing me off is that the door and cargo switch both work in on position but neither work when in door position. Thanks alot for the quick response.

if is not the switch at the door it could be a bad ON/DOOR/OFF switch. Get a used one off eBay or junkyard.

Same bulbs. Are you sure the switches are in correct position? Removing the switch panel is fairly simple if you want to test the switches.

Rocker switch for my interior lights (in my 2017 CM SR5) - on the drivers left of the steering wheel.

The switches on the dome light should kick on when you press the button on the light itself. If that doesn’t work it’s something to do with that fixture I’d guess.

Positive the switch is in the right position i guess im just so confused because the interrior light and cargo light both only work when the switches are in on position neither work on door ill dig more into it when i get home .

yeah.. gotta be something with the door sensor... either not working (which you said it was) or someone/something happened so its no longer connected to the lights... previous owner could be one of these damn people modifying their trucks

I see that people are trying to help but I just want to be clear that when you say they work with that switch in the on position but not the door position. That rocker switch is a 3 position switch. On, Door, Off. Push top for on push bottom for off but in between is the Door position. Make sure that it is in the middle position and not just off. I've hit that switch and accidently turned off my interior lights before.

Still not figured out but i am 100% positive switch is in correct position all lights come on when switch is turned (on) but when in (door) position no lights come on but the dash comes on and a buzzer or dinger comes on when door opens as far as testing the door switches im hoping i done correctly i removed each door switch and put one meter lead on the ground part and other lead were the wire clips then pushed the switch in to close and it ohmed out.

If the key chime works and the dash lights up when you open the doors, I would say the door switches are good. I would check the switch on the dash next. The door portion of the switch could be faulty.

sounds like someone tried to replace the light bulbs and shorted out the BCM. I hear about that a lot in the Tacoma forums people shorting out the BCM. usually happens when using a metal adapter trying to pull out the light bulbs and touching the metallic surround and causing a short.

usually the owner just lets it go (due to cost of BCM replacement) since it usually only affects the interior lights.

just use duct tape to pull out the lights, less likely to blow a BCM :)
