I’ve only done a couple of receipts... but with my driving mixed city/highway it usually reads around 15mpg (when I’m not hot rodding it) but hand calculation comes out to 14.5mpg.

I write the stuff down on the top of the receipt then hand calculate when I’ve got time to kill. (I try not to sit at the pump longer than I have to... we have lines lol)

Mine typically is around high 16 to mid 17 but when I calculate it's 14.5-15.5ish, it's been about 2mpg off since new. I always reset my trip and the MPG on the dash at each fill up.

I do the same in regards to reset.

Last weekend I went on a 6 hour truck ride (round trip). I reset my trip meter at a mile marker and 40 miles later (according to the mile markers) my trip meter said 39.6 - so my truck is about 1% off... which I think is the cause of the disparity with the computers mpg calculation. 1% isn’t all that bad .. I figure it’s either they didn’t recalibrate it after the dealer put the 20s and beefier tires on (mine came with a dealer package), or 1% is within their acceptable margin of error. Not a big deal, but I thought it was interesting.

    Flux capacitor!
Want to gain 7 MPG on your truck?! Disconnect the battery to reset your computer and boom! My truck goes from 11 mpg to 18 mpg instantly. I’m joking of course. Lol

295/70r18 ~34" tire. A 35 will fit as long as you don't have the coachbuilder shackles, from what I've heard. You just need to pull the spare as close to the rear bumper as you can when you wind it up.
