I'm not asking what color is most attractive, or what you like aesthetically. But is there a color that objectively hides dirt/can go longer in between washes better than the rest?

Have heard lots of conflicting answers on this one.

I can personally tell you Blue Ribbon Metallic does not hide dirt at all. I'd say Cement or Silver probably is the best color for hiding dirt?

I'll agree with @53Snipe, Cement and Silver. At least until you get right up on them.

Silver Sky Metallic does a really good job of hiding both dirt and scratches.

It would have to be quicksand first, then cement and silver I'd think

silver is the best color to hide dirt. I've went almost 2yrs on my old legacy 3.6R before I wash it once. right now my 4runner hasn't been washed in like 2 months and the only thing you can tell is the bird crap that its dirty from a distance. but the good rain storm last night fixed that right up to now I don't have to wash it.

I have a 2010 in tan, or is it gold?

It hides the dirt really, really well.

I want to be that old guy driving around in a dirty pickup, pissing off our HOA, and the darn thing always looks clean.

    What the heck.

I can't remember the last time I washed my Silver Sky Metallic truck. I know it's been months. The only place that shows dirty is the chrome grill. Same was true of my Gen 1 Tundra, also Silver. Chrome parts showed dirt while truck still looked clean. It also hid Arkansas pin striping pretty well.

I believe we have the same color, the official name is Desert Sand Mica. My 08 is the same color.

I have to say super white. Once I installed the TRD shifter which provided the 15 hp gain as advertised the damn thing is so fast now that dirt never touches it. And if it sits in the driveway for a while it’s amazing because as soon as I hit second gear it’s like the heavens have opened up and got rid off all the dirt. It’s amazing, if you don’t believe me go get you a SUPER WHITE Tundra and try it.
    Sorry...I waited as long as I could!:burnrubber:

I can tell you that black is absolutely brilliant at showing how dirty it is. You can see a spec of bird crap from space.
My wife’s Sequoia is MGM, and it doesn’t show dirt very much at all. If you don’t mind giving up any hope of speed, I’d go that route.

From my experience, Silver Sky has been the best. I have a white 4runner and white doesn't do as well as silver. I can't speak for Cement, but my guess is it wouldn't be quite as good as silver. However, I don't see how anything would beat quicksand for hiding dirt.

I'd say quicksand first then silver and cement. My truck is in desperate need of bath and you can't tell otger than all the bugs splattered on the front that i slaughtered between Texas and Colorado and back again....

    Nice Ride.
This was the color that came to mind when I saw the question.
Blazing Blue has to be 2nd to worst only because Black is impossible.

Silver, I had a silver van, rarely washed it, dust and dirt just blends into the metallic finish. It’s neutral, easier for resale.

If it’s already a dusty or earthy color like Cement or Sand, that hides well too but any body work after an accident has to be perfectly color matched. The resale audience will be smaller.

NOT black lol, by the time I finish drying the last panel, the first panel is dirty.
