Anybody have experience with a portable jump start pack? Im looking at some of the tiny lithium ones as a last resort plan for a dead battery. Im aware of other options like battery tenders and a second battery, thats not what Im looking for though.

    Thanks

A little of this and a little of that.
I have two different ones and they work great. The two times I used one on my mother in law's truck. Got it from Harbor Freight. The other one got from Costco, although I haven't tried that one yet

Thanks for that information. Can you recommend a brand and model? How long have you had them and how many times have you used them?

    Thank you

A little of this and a little of that.

I'll get this info after the hockey game. I've had them about 8-11 months. Ones in my wife's car and the HF one I keep in my truck, just in case. I used the HF one 3 times on my mother-in-law's truck. Her battery was so dead the truck had to be opened by key, no interior lights or anything. It jumped it in less than a minute. Worked flawless.

    What does "flash sale" mean?

I see they have a few for like $10 off, am I missing something? What did you search specifically to find the flash sale?

I use one like this. Fits my needs when necessary.

I transport cars for a living and i tried a small jump box. i used it a couple times and it worked great for the brand new cars i haul. After leaving it on charge for a half a day the battery swelled up and split. So i went back to the old faithful large jump box. They keep a charge longer can start more vehicles on single charge. The little one seemed to discharge on its own for some reason.

Picked this up on Amazon. Can’t remember how much but less than $ 100. Used it a few times helping folks out. Happy with it. F9EA0B8F-0E01-4083-892A-6FFEF65268E4.jpg

We just picked up the GB40 for $79 on an Amazon lightning deal. I say go for it, this thing is impressive.

    None, yet....
A few buddies and I jumped into a group buy when these were getting kicked off a couple of years ago with Anti-gravity batteries. These things are badass! We take it on wheeling trips and its started a couple of jeeps. Also, I have charged it maybe twice in 3 yrs and its still kicking. Pretty impressive really.

We got the XP1s from Antigravity.

Crazy how technology advances. I am not too old and remember using the big ol giant heavy ass jump packs that would die all the time. These are ridiculously awesome. Well worth the money!

Anyone know how long the GB40 will hold a charge when not in use? And for those that have any brand of jump start, where do you stow them when not in use?

Such a killer deal, I’m pumped for it and the size is crazy. I am a big fan of the BIFL rule (buy it for life) especially when it comes to gear, I think this definitely falls in that category.

They claim that it will maintain 70% charge for a year, but they recommend charging every 3-4 months. I obviously cannot attest as i haven’t had mine a week but all reviews I have read highly recommend it. Quality of the unit is incredible

Agreed. I'm still rocking the stock battery - just a little over 3 years which is kind of unheard of in AZ considering how hot it is. It's due for replacement and I kind of wish it would die on me so I can use the jump starter lol.

I thought it was a year but I cant find that now.

Thought I posted that earlier guess I didn’t. I charged mine in like November. I’ll pull it out tomorrow and see where the charge is at.
