Just temporary installed Fab Fours Vengeance rear bumper. Just checking the fit before having it sprayed in Line-X

    image.jpg

I have this one I'm going to install next. I'm also having this sprayed in Line-X. Had to do some minor sanding.

Got 8k miles..4K of towing on the truck today.
Decided to change the front and rear and transfer case fluids to redline 75w90 full synthetic. Toyota recommends 75w85 but Toyota in my area doesn't sell them by the quart.. Only by the 55gal drum...
Anyway, all fluids had break in material present, but the rear diff was actually much darker than I would've anticipated. Needless to say I'm glad I changed the fluids early.
Also switched the oil filter out for a TRD oil filter, looked much better made than the original oil filter.

Stellar, is that the N-Fab Baja 1000 light bar? I bought one, just haven't installed it yet. How do you like it? How was the install?

Nice Ron, I think after reading up on bedrugs, I'm gonna go that route vs spray in. I have the factory plastic liner now. Looks awesome. Did you install yourself?

Cubanchem, yes it is the N-Fab Baja Light Bar. Love the light bar, installation wasn't to bad, small hands would be a plus, which I don't have. Varity of wrenches , sockets, and extensions I would also recommend. Little trimming required in the lower part front bumper so the mounts can go thru, very minor. Wear gloves, lots of sharp areas to cut up your fingers thou, which happen to me, ouch. When I originally got the bumper it was missing 2 brackets, hardware, and instructions, so check you box before install. N-Fab was very apologetic about that, and sent me the required items immediately which was appreciated, hey shit happens. I drove for about a week before I added the lights, very subtle, could hardly notice it was there it blended very well. The light mounting options are plentiful, with my 3 lights I could move the outside 2 inboard or outboard from where I put them. Mine are about 8" diameter, not sure if you could do that with 9" like on the TRD Pro BAJA truck, but it will also hold up to a 40" light bar if you go that way. Post some pictures after the install, would love to see it

Thanks for all the great insight. As far as I can tell, all the parts are there. I too lack small hands, I might grab my 5 year old daughter for the hard parts ;). I will definitely take photos when done.

I think i would paint it also, you might want to think of a led bar also. I put one on mine because I didn't like seeing the big gap or the holes in the body and the led bar really helped fill it in

I agree. I think it would better in black. Just trying to figure out, how to go about doing it. I know to remove the bumper. But from there I always have to seek advice in the painting department. But I do have a question about my front LED light bar. It came standard with fixed upright brackets. The holes in the bumper doesn't allow enough clearance for the grill. I need the base to be fixed, but the vertical arm to pivot to allow me to attach the light bar. Any suggestions.

Just finished trimming my front fender flares. After the front bumper install I had to take off approximately 4-5". Replaced the 2 month old rusted bolts that held the fender flares on with stainless steel ones. Also had custom rock sliders made. Cheaper than buying them online .image.jpgimage.jpg

I've only used it twice, groceries and an airport pick up, but the thing is awesome! I'm looking forward to using in on a road trip to really see the value. I also still have to measure how much lower it is now so I can see if it will be worth it to do the Wheeler's AAL pack.

Thanks. Pain the ass to install. Thickness of the padding made it hard to push thru the openings between seat and backrest. Also, covers don't quite contour around the backrest very well. Worse part was removing the back seats first in order to install the ones in the back and because of the padding, the armrest in the back row doesn't fit into the seats that well and takes some force to push the rear seats up into the locking position. Not sure if you had fit issues like this. But overall glad these are on so that kids don't mess up my seats LOL!
