Figured now is good as any to start a build thread. This isn't flashy or exciting, and as the thread states, a slow build.

I bought her in July 2017. Sorry about lack of pictures, didn't think when I bought this truck I would be changing much.

    IMG_20170827_133818152_HDR.jpg
After purchasing I had the spary in bed liner done and installed the bed rack system.

I then got the TRD PRO grille and blackout emblems and dechromed in September.

After hunting season I got the truck detailed and ceramic coated due to scratches I got. Used to a Tacoma, tundra was tight on some trails.

I have since gotten the caps dechromed and new wheels this spring.

TRD and tundra inserts in carbon fiber
    IMG_20180502_152210817_HDR.jpg

Also on the truck is VMS bullet antenna, weather tech floor mats, and zdog tool chest, tinted windows, and door sill protectors done from this thread: https://www.tundras.com/threads/skate-or-diy-12-door-sill-protection.657/

Some future additions include bull bar, LED headlights and tails, and lift for sure. I have seen numerous other mods that look like I could use are on board air compressor, bed rack, RTT, hidden winch.

If you read this far thanks for reading and I will add to this as I add to the truck.

It definitely feels that way sometimes. GF laughs every time something new shows up, "I thought you weren't going to get that." I never follow what I say when it come with the truck lol

Added 15 hp with black TRD shift knob and painted chrome center console pieces. Next on the list is the vent pieces. IMG_20180624_181106426.jpg IMG_20180624_183402923.jpg

The black trim looks nice! I’ve been thinking about doing that, because the glare on the chrome can be brutal when driving sometimes.

What did you use to paint it?

Duplicolor paint and trim paint in flat black. Used it since I already had it laying around. Next test is to see how it holds up. 4 coats.

285/65/18 right now. Would like to get a 3/1.5-2 lift with 285/75/18 eventually though. Still saving and researching lifts. It's all foreign to me.

So far the paint is holding up next to the gear shifter. The chrome cup holder bezel has a small chip in it. I think I caused that when I instinctively threw the keys there while bsing with friends after a softball game. Other than that chip, it seems to be holding well. Will repaint when I get time again to go it. Now that one spec of chrome is all I see and is bugging me.

You have a great looking truck, but why all of the stickers? IMHO, it cheapens the look and takes away from the great upgrades you have made.

If you are talking about the window stickers I hear ya...looks tachy to a lot but I like it. Does look cleaner with out but that back window is down a lot anyways. Plus just showing my hobbies....football and mule deer hunting.

Good luck! I have heard there's good mulies in New Mexico. One of these days I will do an out of state hunt. Idaho is first though as I have made some friends that hunt over there and would like me to.

Repainted the chrome cup holder bezel. Since I was doing that I tried a new color on the interior and I think I am going for the gusto.

All the grey trim is now going to be painted IG3, or MGM now. The all black needed some contrast in my opinion. The only piece I am worried about is the center dash piece. Hopefully get to the door pieces soon. May leave center dash for when I do sound upgrade/stereo upgrade to do it all at once.
