Install is slightly different. You'll be using the Morimoto H4 Harness. The new harness dont use the H4 harness and no repining required. If Toyota Dealer installs, you keep your warranty. Even with the old kit.

What if you bought the harness with the moto-control?

Would prefer to not install it and just run a harness if possible.

Then you have to purchase a new harness that doesn't require the motocontrol

Ok, i am having a problem with hyper flash on my new 2018 lights, all the lighting works fine except the blinker. I am not planning on doing the drl delete and the led drl. What am I doing wrong? Do I need a different bulb? Please help!

I don’t think OP has ever heard a typical conversion between a service advisor and a customer in the dealership. Calling the dealership to ask about installing a newer part on an older truck with 3rd party harness.... that is not something these people are trained to talk about or answer. This would be an equivalent of throwing a hair dryer in the bathtub. I’ve called the dealer about a simple question on installation and felt like these people don’t even know how a vehicle operates. Good luck with that.

Youll have to sell your old harness and buy the newer style. I'm sure someone that is looking to save some money would buy your "old" one. I'd guess you'd have to cut the price by half but it'll sell

Nope, just need to move the running light pin. I will sell the drl harness since I am not using the led DRL.

Got it! Thanks for your help @iHacker ! I really never liked led strips, but I love the amber DRL and the LED headlights!
