Magnum RT Steps - Step Pad

Howdy -
Has anyone removed the "Step Pad" off their Magnum RT steps and have a pic? I'm wondering about the look w/o the step pad and if there are really obvious holes where the step pad bolts into the step.
I really like these steps until they started branding the steps. Another option I have considered is having replacement plates made.

 

I did it. And just put the stainless screws back in. I don’t have the steps on anymore, but I did like the look without the pad on.

They aren't that expensive. I got a great deal from @mgm16trdpro on mine as he had an extra set. He is always modding, maybe he wants to sell you his?!!! I bent the heck out of my drivers side one and took them off. Before I had to take them off, I was thinking about modding the step by cutting the angled piece off that says "Magnum" with an angle grinder.

 

Funny u say that, it was just late last night I was looking into rock sliders. I was just thinking that exact thing, maybe I'd sell mine and get a set. Mine I paid to have linex'd though. If u are interested it would just maybe push me over the edge into getting it lol.


Might be able to see how mine has no branding on closeup.

 

I'll add that I saw @mgm16trdpro truck and steps in person, and the Line-X finish without the Magnum branding looks killer.

 

Mine are not bent yet. I've been taking it extremely easy anytime I've been off-road. Hence the reason for wanting sliders. But I can guarantee you mine are perfectly straight and look identical underneath to the day I put them on. Although my truck will occasionally see the dirt, it's never that I beat on it. I have other toys for that. I use my truck more as a tool and can't afford to be beating it up off-road.

 

If I was to sell them I'd prob sell for same price plus cost of linex which I have receipt for. The obvious benefit is you wouldn't have to go thru the little hassle I did to get them done. I unbolt and u bolt, good to go. If interested shoot me a pm and I'll figure out cost. If not, no biggie, I'm still happy with them. Like @Borgs said, I'm always modding something on my truck. Got the mod bug, it's my new addiction lol.
