image.jpg image.jpg Always weird to see your old vehicles around. Two of my previous yota's are still around my neighborhood.

It was weird when my Sierra went up for sale. They marked it up 6k and it sold in a couple days.

I got 18k at trade in here in Tucson... I knew they'd auction it as the dealer didn't want to risk reselling it and being liable for something.

One of the Toyota dealer stopped doing auctions out here. Thought they would send my wife's old Heep to auction, but they said they don't do that any longer due to costs involved and just sell it as-is. Sure enough, it was on their lot the following week.

Exactly why I've never traded in a vehicle. Takes about 15 minutes at the buyers CU to sell it on your own. I'd waste a few minutes for 6K anytime.

This truck in particular required a trade in in my opinion... I would have felt bad selling it to somebody personally... it's got some issues...

That's still too much of a mark up by 10,000 grand. I hope they did all the work that was needed if they have that much of a markup on it. Of course a lot of dealers always think that marking up a vehicle by an insane amount is logical and normal.
