Just curious if anyone makes sliders (actual sliders that can support the truck, not just fancy lookin' running boards) for a doublecab longbed?

I may be wrong, but I would assume anything for a CrewMax would also work for a DC. The Wheel-base is probably identical.

Crewmax wheelbase is 145.7", Doublecab Longbed wheelbase is 164.6".

We are talking about the 8 foot "real" long bed correct at 167"?

Sliders for the 8ft bed are few and far between. Reason >>>>not that many 8footer owners needing sliders. You may have to get them custom fabbed.

Yep, the proper 'put dirt bikes in the back with the tailgate up' 8 foot bed.

Yea don’t think there’s really anyone out there wheeling places that need sliders that you can get through with that long of a wheel base. Probably need to just go to fab shop and have some made up and welded on

Yep, and decent sized campers too. 8 foot bed comes in real handy. Find a decent fab shop. Shouldn't cost a mint. A lot of fab shops are quite reasonable.

Hell, its hard enough trying to find sliders for the DC, let alone that mile long bed.

I can tell you for sure that CM sliders do not work on our DC's, for the most part.

@sdhq_offroad makes a set that'll work for CM/DC. Might be worth asking them about your truck fitment.

Also, @pelfreybilt are in the process of adding a DC version of their CM sliders. :muscleflexing:

No plans for the 8' bed at this time. A lot of people aren't wheeling the trucks with those longer beds. We will certainly post up in the Pelfreybilt Rock Slider Thread with updates as we expand our Rock Slider Products.

Do you happen to mean Rocky Road Outfitters? http://www.rocky-road.com/ Rocky Mountain Outfitters appears to do trips on horseback, which is relevant to my interests but doesn't help protect my truck.

Not for long bed but it lists them to work on the double cab.

OP here’s a thought maybe you could buy these sliders and have them modified/extended to fit the long bed.

I have spoken with White Knuckles and they're going to use my truck to fab up some DCLB sliders but it's gonna be about a year until they are ready to do so.

I have looked all over a good set of rock sliders for my DC. Not a lot of choices for the Double Cab. I could only find two companies that make them for the DC. I just order the Kicker Rock Sliders from Rocky Road Outfiters. Looking forward to getting them in about 6 weeks. I’m hoping sooner as I will be in the back country September 1st. I’ll be happy to post photos once I get them mounted.

That truck in the pics looks like a standard 6.5 bed, not a long bed. :notsure:
    Those will be sweet!
    Do you mean a DCLB?

We love photos! So, is yours a DCLB or DC with the standard 6.5 bed. I see you ordered already. FYI, SDHQ makes great bolt-on, no weld sliders that fit the DC standard 6.5. But not quite as long as some others; they don't span the entire length between wheel well openings.

We are working on the DC no, long bed will be next, we need one to scan and enough interest to build a jig and what not.

I have the 6.5 DC. I think I’ll be happy with the ones I’ve ordered. In the process of my build up and have been a little surprised to learn that not many company’s are showing the Tundra, ( 2nd gen ) very much love. My goal is to be prepared for whatever I may come across as I go off road. I’m also trying to be conscious of weight, but when it comes to sliders, it’s all about strength and the ability to use a high lift jack if needed. I looked at Plefreybilt, once I learned about them on this site, but they don’t have one yet for the DC. Hopefully soon so folks have more choices.
