Has anyone utilized the GTR Gen 2 LED headlight bulbs and LED fog light upgrade level 2? If so, any feedback? Any negatives to using them? Thinking of using on my 2016 Tundra TRD Pro

Really like my gen 2 led headlights except only drawback I have is very little difference between high and low beam. As far as fog I went with kensung led fog lights from ebay. Add great amount of light out in front and to the sides. Just had to reverse the polarity on the plug ins for the fogs. With this combination I rarely drive with high beams bc have added fogs with the lows.

I have, those lights are great and have very high output. I actually have a thread build if you look at my profile. Fog lights are bright, just not a long distance difference if thats what you are looking for. The High beams on the headlights are also not any brighter than lo beams but they ARE already pretty bright to begin with.

Those bulbs scatter light all over the place, oncoming drivers will hate you.

I have the gen 2 headlights and fog lights. The fog lights are nice, the headlights are bright but I have issues with weird spread patterns since the inside reflector is not smooth it scatters the light from the LED. I plan on rotating the low beans out this weekend to see if it improves. Otherwise going with a retrofit.

Spent some time this weekend playing with the LEDs, trying to get them into a vertical orientation. Finally succeeded. Here's the result. I think orders of magnitude better. image.jpg

Would you describe how this was done?

    I'll do my best.
The bulb has a flanged ring around it, which is what seats the bulb into the headlight. It has multiple holes with two small screws. It's basically an iterative process. I dropped the bulb in, turned the headlight around and looked at the actual LED orientation. Then pulled the bulb out and adjust the flanged ring, rinse and repeat. The one thing I found is that there is a black plastic ring with two tabs that the flange sits on and screws into. It's possible to rotate that ring some. I'm guessing you rotate to lock it into position. So you may want to check to make sure it's seated properly as it tends to loosen as you remove the screws to adjust the flange.
According to GTR Lighting, a vertical orientation for the LEDs is optimal, they don't specify low or high beams and which way they should point. The photo in the previous thread has the low beans pointed up. Let me know if you need any more info. Pics below showing the parts I described.

Thank you very much! I'll give it a shot when it warms up and bit and when I plan to pull the grill anyways to plastidip.
