I just got my 50 cal antenna in today from VMS racing. It comes with all the various adapters including the Toyota thread adapter. VMS racing has a lot of options like camo, different tip colors & the MOAB antenna.

I haven’t installed mine yet. Just got it today and I’ve got to install my roof rack first. I’ll keep you posted.

Only pic I could find of it on right now. Reception in town is great. Along the highway is ok so long as no high cliffs/deep valleys. Once start going off road it cuts in and out. Overall not bad. I keep the stock in the truck but it's never bothered me enough to switch during a trip. Might change if I can't get the football games on this fall though.

    Still rocking the stock height.
I have had mine for about 6 months now. In San Antonio it works great. Have not tried it outside of the city, as I mainly listen to XM. I have been thinking about getting a different color tip for it.

I see a lot of people concerned about it getting stolen. We designed our antennas with High-Strength thread locking compound on the antenna so no one can easily walk up and unscrew it. If you do need to remove it in the future, you'll have to put more effort into to, which is good as it will deter anyone else from taking it.

We also get asked a ton about the reception. The reality is that the reception mostly depends on where you live. Overall, you can't expect any short antenna to pick up poor radio signals nearly as good as a long whip antenna. If you live in an area where the radio signal is strong, you'll be fine with a short antenna. If you live in a very rural area or in a very mountainous area where radio signals are weaker, then yes, you will lose reception. More and more people are using Bluetooth and XM radio nowadays, so you can use those features as the antenna will not affect those.

We offer no-hassle returns, so if you buy one and you find that the reception is unbearable and you can't live without radio, you can send it back. We just strongly recommend that you test it first by just screwing our antenna in just a thread to test reception before you screw it in all the way. If you screw it in all the way, you are going to have a hard time getting it out!

We do make them for both generations of Tundras, they are a specific fit since the earlier Tundras are mounted different than the newer models.

Do they break off like the six inch ones in the fully automatic car wash? I am in if they can make it through twenty times. Peace. D

Although we never tested a 20 cycle test, I would think it would last. If at all possible I would avoid the non-touchless carwashes as they are bad for your paint finish. The "touchless" carwashes are less damaging to your paint and no risk of breaking the antenna. Not sure if they have those where you are from .
