Anyone ever use the 3m wheel to remove them. What did you use to blend everything together to get the lines out.

Scarecrow, I just removed my faded and cracked pinstripes with the Astro Eraser Pad I purchased from eBay. You don't need to spend the extra money for 3m, your paying for the name. Not knocking 3 m products, just cheaper ones out there that do the same job. Note: be mindful of shipping as the company I bought it from charged me $14. Hope you have a good cordless, because it will eat your battery up. Once your finished with removal, you can remove the haze that's left over with finger nail polish remover, I would suggest you get your own supply from the dollar store to avoid any confrontation with your significant other if there's one. This will not harm your paint or clear coat as it's basically acetone which evaporates quick . This product did the job great and cut the time to almost nothing. If you got any questions don't hesitate to ask. Hope this helps guys uploadfromtaptalk1458603326286.jpguploadfromtaptalk1458603330089.jpguploadfromtaptalk1458603333591.jpg

My co-worker that has the 07 DC 8ft bed has factory pinstripes. Passenger side stripes are toast. What's weird is the drivers side doesn't look too bad. He was wondering how to lose the stripes. Now I know. Thanks all!!!!

To remove pinstripes ..no. To remove 3m adhesive from the badges and the bed caps on my Ranger, yes. Works like a dream. I paid around $45 for mine at the local NAPA store. It was a little pricey but it took maybe 10 minutes to take all of the 3m tape off the Tundra for every badge on it including the letters on the doors. Used it on two trucks so far with plenty of the wheel left.

No never actually used it for that, just 3m tape/ adhesive removal. It work wonders on that too. Had to remove a stick on bed cap from the side of my Ranger after an accident. The dealer repairing the truck did one side, I did the other since the caps come in a set. Long story shortened is they scraped their side off, I heated mine up and pulled it off. They already had to paint it anyway.
