Any handloaders here? What calibers do you load? How much/often do you load? What press and other equipment do you use?

Obviously it goes without saying here that just because someone reloads a certain caliber does not mean they actually own any guns themselves. I myself have never owned any guns. Guns are bad.

    I reload 223, 243, 308, 300wm, 300 ultra mag, 444 marlin, 8mm Mauser, 7.5 Swiss, 303 British, 38/357, 9mm, 40/10mm, 45acp, 45 colt, 44mag and probably others I can't remember.

I run a Lyman Tmag 2 turret for precision stuff, a Dillon 550, and a Hornady Lock and Load auto progressive with case and bullet feeders. RCBS Chargemaster, Giraud power trimmer, Giraud Annealer, Dillon primer pocket decrimper,.......

I'm not sure I have a use for the 204. But anything going 4000 feet per second is sexy.

All good stuff. For a book, I recommend The ABCs of Reloading. And then a good recope manual like the Lyman Reloading Manual.

Mostly use RCBS stuff. Chrono loads for speed, developing accuracy. Regularly getting 100yd groups in a dime off the bags on a bench with the AR. Peaceful hours spent reloading, very therapeutic.

I always liked to work my way through various bullets and powders with a new gun and with careful shooting off the bench, I could determine the limitations of the gun. After that, when my shooting was less accurate, I knew it was all me: breathing, heartbeat, excitement, coffee, flinch or too big of a hurry.

some books and manuals can get you started in a safe direction. But, if you have a good buddy that reloads already. Ask to watch and pick his brians!

I'm guessing you don't load extruded powders in the Dillon powder thrower?

You are correct, the only round I use extruded powder is the 300wm using 7828 (now there is 7828 short cut that meters fine). I measure out every round on the RCBS powder dispenser. Takes a while but I only load 20-50 rounds at a time of 300wm. The flake pistol powders give me the most problems in the powder thrower and results in a +/- 0.1gr divination, but occasionally is worse, so I visuallycheck every round before placing the bullet on the case for the stage 3 operation.

I do the same. It's possible to attach the Hornady thrower to the Dillon which has no problem with extruded powders.

I reload (rarely) for 7mm Rem Mag. Mainly just did up some target loads for a fun shoot last year. I have dies for .223, .308, and .303.

RCBS gear for me: Rockchucker press, Chargemaster Combo, Case trimmeer, Motorized case prep center...the works.

I'm honestly thinking of selling all my stuff off. I've lost much of my interest in it. I don't mind the actual reloading process but the load work up drives me batty, even though it's shooting. I find it way to tedious. I also haven't shot since July of last year and haven't hunted in 6 years. When I do get back into shooting, it'll probably be with 9mm and .223 both of which I can buy cheaper than load. For long range stuff, at the amount I shoot, I'm better off buying a couple boxes of premium ammo and calling 'er good.

This is my setup as well, minus the 550 and annealer (would love the annealer) and run a RCBS single stage for precision.
The Giraud power trimmer is badass! :)

Also use the stainless wet tumbling process - one of the best reloading upgrades imo.

I mainly reload 6mm Dasher and 6.5 Creedmoor. Adding .308 and .224 Valkyrie sometime later this year.
I have stuff to reload .303, .243, .223, 9mm, etc, and about a zillion 20ga hulls laying around in case I get an itch to reload that for some reason, but I don't shoot any of those much.

Forster Co-Ax, Chargemaster 1500. Started using short-grain rice to dry tumble, and it's working really well.

I load for my .223, wife’s .308, my 7mmRM, and my .338WM. The .338 is the only one it makes sense for on the basis of cost alone. The accuracy gained by custom loading to the rifle is worth it to me though, as is being able to cook up a cartridge unavailable commercially. For example, I load 130gr. Barnes TTSX’s for the wife’s Ruger M77 compact in .308, it’s a great little deer / bear rifle out to 300 yds, and IMHO, that bullet is a perfect match for it’s short barrel.

I’ve got a Rockchucker kit with a RCBS case trimmer and tumbler to keep my OCD happy, and use Lee dies as I like their neck-sizing dies.

I haven’t sat down and loaded anything in at least 2 years now though, and this reminds me I should be since I can do this while I wait for my injured hand to heal. Great idea to combat boredom.

I don't actually load shotgun. I just pick up any high-brass stuff I shoot because I'm a hoarder.... I've heard mecs are great.
