Just like to share my experience of cost and install of the supercharger and bullydog.
Cost was $6,666.53 from sparks Toyota with the Tundra Dude 5% discount (thank you), the only other cost was two gallons of antifreeze @ around $30 .
Install time was hard to keep track of between beer, fixing lawnmower (wifes rock crusher) , boys motorcycles, and more beer.
I started last Tuesday at noon and finished Friday around 2pm .
The last thing i have to do is fine tune the bullydog, I have to buy a better charger because their is alot of draw from the after cooler pump when the key is turned to the run position.
The install was fun and comes with a step-by-step instructions manual, however i do think they should revise the manual a little bit for ease of installment.

This is a few specialty tools that made the install easier.

Do you really need a engine lift machine for the supercharger? I am in the process of buying mine and planned to do the install all by myself. However, I have a bad back, knees, and hips....thanks to the good ole Army combat missions in my previous life. Lol. Do you think I can handle it?

BTW, sweet post and pictures

A little of this and a little of that.
I would never install a SC on my own, way above my pay grade!

Did u change the injectors and fuel pump as well. I watched a u-tube video of a toyota tech doing it and that was part of the process.

Yes the one ton chain fall was a little overkill but it was very nice when lowering down into place.
If i had to do it agian i would take the front tires off and lower the front end as far as possible, also after you take the grill out take off the lower grill frame off too so you won't bend it if you accidentally step on it. Oh also remove the hood, when you put it back on hand tighten the rear/bottom bolts first, they are sholderd bolts and it will go on the same way it came off.

No fuel pump and injectors for the ffv version. Go to sparks parts o/l and find the supercharger, at the bottom of the page you can d/l the installation instructions for the supercharger.

Dont forget to get a T40 Torx and a small reversal ratchet for the intake bolts that are almost inpossabl to reach. Oh and im sure you will be taking the injector rails out to reach the intake bolts, i wired them to the hood latch on pass side and just move out of the way on drivers side. Oh and one other thing, blow out everything good on the engine B4 starting the install, maybe a little brake clean around the injectors and more air.20180524_124547.jpg

@ZPMAN kudos to you brotha, i def think id be letting Toyota do this lol. My parts manager stated that on my truck injectors, fuel pump need to be changed and once the s/c is all hooked up they have to flash the ecu before tuning with the bd.

Is yours a ffv? If not it will need the pump and or the injectors. Best thing to do is give sparks parts a call with any questions they a very up to date on superchargers and i believe at the forefront of the of developing them. As for the ecu i have flashed mine for the bd, at first is was stressful because Toyota's ecu has to have at least 12.1 volts to perform a flash. Since i am a cheep Finnlander i tryed my wimpy charger and was lucky at first, when you are prompted to turn the key to the on position for the flash installation the after cooler pump will run along with my Phoenix HU that i could not shut off but was able to dim it and unplug the aftercooler pump to achieve a steady12.8 volts . They do mention to have at least i believe a 10amp charger for the flash. New charger is on my list next time in town. If you did have to change the injectors it is very simple and would take less than a 1/2 hr as for the pump i would run a tank of premium B4 the install and run down to just about MT B4 pulling the fuel tank just in case you not built like Arnold Schwarzenegger. If anyone installed on a non ffv give a shout, i almost had to get my tundra from the Dakota's because that was the only place i could get a non ffv, luckily i was keeping up on magnuson's development of the ffv version that save me a long drive.

Be careful of what your Toyota stealership parts people tell you. My Tundra went in for its 2nd scheduled oil change service the other day and the service writer told my wife that he highly recommended a induction flush and brake fluid replacement. So, she called me and asked me if she should let them do it and I kindly asked her to put the dude on the phone. Once he got on the phone, I told him which part of his body’s orifice needed the induction system flush and fluid replacement :rofl:My truck is only 8 months old and it has only 12k miles on it!!

There are only a few Toyota dealerships around the country that has experience with installation of superchargers and other performance parts. So, don’t just take it to the nearest dealership because they may not know what they are doing.

I have installed bolt on turbo kits and so on, on my civic and mustang before, but, this will be my first time doing so on a Tundra. It should be exciting.

Let me know if you need a lifting bracket (free), the SC will be perfectly balanced for install.

Thanks for the offer. The kid across the street came by to look at my SC and he has a engine lift and similar brackets that he plans to loan to me whenever I am ready to get started. He has a F150. Lol

Sparks ones have a custom top plate? looks nice.
Specialty tools DEFINITELY. or using or doing something different in the install manual. I completed mine in about 3 days. All said and done probably 20 hours. Biggest thing i would buy for a tundra to do this or borrow, is a TOP SIDE CREEPER.
