    I have dealt with Taco Tunes personally for several full stereo builds on two different Tundras. Sorry you weren’t able to get what you wanted. But my experience was very good. I know they have a lot of orders and have been back logged on some orders. I have several buddies who also have had good experiences with taco tunes.

    Everything is in route, but we are just waiting for a few items to arrive. I understand if you dont' want to wait . .and again apologize but this is out of our control. I am sure the shipping guys have told you the same thing, we are just waiting for the stuff to hit our door.
    We were told X days and now we are just waiting for last few items to show up.

    We had 1,500 Tundra install kits delivered yesterday.
    We are waiting on the sub boxes and saile panels we will be ready to roll.
    Amps, Speakers, all other parts are in and ready . .

    Shady? Can you let us know what price changed? WE have not touched our shopping cart pricing in 60 days. It is going under new change up right now. I will be happy to look into. IF you are one of the pre-orders that was given the early price, we are still honoring that?

    I heard great things as well, that why I contacted them. Maybe it’s an oddity, or an isolated employee, and normally they treat people properly. I liked the product and was excited to support a small biz, but the tactic used was petty.

    I’m old fashioned I guess, I expect people to do what the day they will do. No more, no less. Maybe thats on me.....

    one time customer of ********* and would use these guys again in a heartbeat! not only do they pick up the phone when you call, they are there to help and will bend over backwards to meet your needs.

    something seems amiss with OP. what's even more "shady" is making a thread without giving a business an opportunity to correct it first.

    WE don't alwasy pickup the phone, but we will call you back! Best route open ticket and we will all you back in order as quick as we can! WE have gotten really good on our TAT and we are super greatful to customers that can wait a few hours. The biggest complaint we get" Do you guys want to sell anything? I have been trying to get a hold you for over x amount of hours. . . . we tell all our customers. FIRST we call the guys that have spent money with us. Then we call new potential customers. We have to take care of the guys that trust us with their dollars FIRST!

    @Wreckt01 , as a member of this forum I love reading about our members' experiences with Tundra related businesses. It helps us all invest our money in the right place, and helps the great businesses thrive.

    With that said, I've been as active as I can on here from the beginning, when this forum only had a few members and a few posts a day.

    This forum is great, and it's the members (and owner of course) that make it so great. It's not cool when you see something that doesn't seem legit.

    With that said, after reading this thread, to me things don't seem to add up.

    If you aren't a troll, please explain their shady tactic, how the pricing changed, and the steps you took to request they honor the quoted price. Also what do you mean by having the deal "in writing"?

    Has this issue been properly resolved, and if so, how?

    It certainly seems Taco Tunes is all over this.

    I received his PM. Replied and hopefully we will get him fixed up 10000% :) Whatever the outcome, we will do whatever we can. With over 21,000 Tundra customers now - we have screwed up here and there. WE are human. However, we will snap to and fix it as quickly as we can. I am fairly certain 99.9% of our customers will tell you we did the right thing . . .

    Wow, y’all snap to attention pretty quick to defend them. Guess I should have expected it. Gotta hLove the internet, haha

    Here’s the deal. I wanted a system one with all four doors installed. Due to back orders was given a set price for all four doors upgraded to cxs speakers instead of the ctx as they were in stock. That is what sealed the deal for me, felt like a good value.

    Set up an install date and received confirmation email with only the front upgraded. Exchanged a few emails, even forwarded them the email indicating price for all four doors. Was told I’d have to pay extra for both upgrades. Apparently back order status changed in the last few hours and they wouldn’t honor the price from earlier that day.

    Ive witnessed this tactic by other vendors in the past. They get people on the hook, then change the terms and pricing thinking you are committed and won’t back out.

    It felt like a very well rehearsed tactic. Made me question how I’d be treated after they had my money if I felt like they were playing games before I even paid.

    TacoRob sent a solid response my way and I’ll consider his offer. He seemed very genuine and wants to resolve the issue. It seems my experience is an aberration and not the norm. It’s their stance that the Back order and substitutions led to a miscommunication or sorts. Don’t completely agree but I can see the perspective. Maybe it was a little harsh to call them shady and that’s on me. Cheers

    This is maybe the second complaint I’ve read regarding ********* in the four (4) years on this forum.
    What’s important, is @tacorob is trying to make it right one way or the other. Things do happen, and mistakes get made whether human or computer error. Sometimes a quick message to them can clear things up. Clearly, @tacorob is doing what he/they can to resolve the matter in a timely fashion.

    He responded in a very quick (11 mins) fashion; addressed it, and offered a solution.

    I'm okay with the OP posting what he did; perhaps that's how he got positive interaction from Taco Tunes :notsure:. It maybe would not be cool if it's the first step he took in pursuit of a remedy, and it would have been nicer not to call out Taco Tunes as 'shady' but, based on the longer updated description of what led to his posting, it seems he had tried working it out with the vendor (he referred to emails in which he showed them earlier written commitments), and was shut down.

    Anyway, I was impressed by how quickly and earnestly @tacorob jumped in with the promise of excellent customer service. I hope it works out for the OP and that, if it does, he comes back with the promised update on resolution. With so many of us :popcorn:, this is a great opportunity for a long-time forum vender to win over any others among us considering their product.

    He PMd me and the long and short is there was some miscommunication that is stemming from out of stock items. We are basically selling items faster than we can keep them on shelf . . SoOne of our guys said he would offer some upgraded speakers WITH discounts. There was a miscommunication on what was offered regarding REAR speakers. . There was in IF statement in a phone call and mix up with email. I have instructed our guys no more special deals. The price is the price. Just use the site pricing and do not offer deeper discounts to anyone. Even if we are out of stock.
    We are not going to offer special deals that are not listed on our site. It never fails something always goes wrong with special deals. At the end of the day he would have saved a nice chunk with the deal we offered. He said he might do some business down the road with us. I really appreciate you guys looking at both sides. If anyone else EVER has an issue, PLEASE let us know we ant to make things right with our customers. If you spend money with us, we want you to be happy with our products!

    This post explains the situation much better. Thanks for clarifying. A post like your original post can be made for a few different reasons, the brief original post didn't seem to paint the whole picture. Maybe you didn't care to elaborate, but you have a good group of people looking at it and more than a few felt we needed more info. The lack of details got me.

    We all saw the quick response though from Taco Tunes.

    Can you blame us for feeling that way?

    I hope things get worked out so both sides are happy.

    I agree. I'm not necessarily saying this is what happened in this situation, but companies tend to become your best friend in public (social media, forums like this, etc.) as soon as you complain where people can see.
