So I've been trying to find a local place that deals/installs "FabFour" bumpers. I finally decided to just call them this morning. SWEET, there is a deal/installer not 30 miles from here. I got prices, we discussed their warrantee an then I asked this question. "My Tundra has those close proximity sensors in my front and rear bumper. I noticed your bumpers don't come stock with those holes, is that something you do before shipping them or will the vender put them in?" She explained that the local vender would make the holes for those but when they did it would VOID the warranty. Ummmm...WHAT? Silence.....I asked why?....Silence.....

Is this the norm? Can I expect this from all bumper makers? Is it really a big deal? I'm bothers me a bit to spend upwards of $4,000 on a front and rear bumper to have the warranty voided because of something that came on my truck stock. Suggestions?

I think they're talking about voiding the bumper warranty because they're cutting holes into it after manufacturing. If that is of concern then I'd suggest looking elsewhere that would build a bumper with the sensor holes as a standard option.

No brother, fab fours said it would void the bumper warranty by having installer cutting holes for sensors

Yeah if you cut into their work, they probably would void the warranty. Maybe they could cut the holes for you if you told them how big and were?

If you go forward with the purchase, just inspect the welds and the entire bumper for defects. If the welds are solid, the bumper isn't flawed and the fit is right, what else do you need thier warranty for? I know, piece of mind right.

Maybe you should buy a set from relentless...

We are talking about the bumper warranty. Fab fours straight up told me if THEIR authorized dealer put sensor holes in the bumper it would void the warranty. I asked her 3 Times to be certain.

I guess I'm most confused about a warranty on a bumper? Wth is gonna go wrong with a steel bumper that would cause it to be repaired or replaced under a warranty???

Ive seen numerous different bumpers with the holes cut for the sonar sensors. If u like the bumpers enough, just drill the holes yourself and be done with it imo
